St Anthony's School community works collaboratively to teach and live the values of Christ. While respecting tradition, and to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society, it strives to educate our children to their full potential.

Mother's Day Mother's Day

This Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day in Australia. It is a celebration honouring the mother and mother figures of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. As a Catholic community we particularly remember Mary, the mother of the Church, not only on Mother’s Day but also throughout the month of May.

Please join us for ‘breakfast’ this Friday morning as we celebrate Mother’s Day. Our Mothers’ Day breakfast commences at 7.45am in the undercover area. We hope you are then able to join us to celebrate and bless our mothers at mass in the Parish Church.

P&F Events P&F Events

It is important to acknowledge that events such as the disco and the Mother’s Day stall do not happen overnight – much work goes on behind the scenes to organise P&F events.

A huge thank you to Sarina Berlingeri and Stacey Fletcher for their organisation of the disco and to Tracey Maas for her organisation of the Mother’s Day stall. I would also like to thank the many mothers who assisted on the day/days with the running of these events. Generously giving of your time makes many children smile.

Traffic Concern Traffic Concern

Every so often we receive complaints from the public about parents blocking the roundabout as they try to turn into Servite Terrace to pick up their children.

While I understand that traffic congestion occurs from 2.30-3.10pm each day, please consider the following:

  • The Road Traffic Act prevents drivers from entering a roundabout unless they are also able to exit it. Therefore, whether you are heading north or south and turn into Servite Terrace, it is illegal to be stationery in the roundabout while waiting for the pick-up line to move along.
  • Please consider parking in the hotel/Chinese restaurant car park and walking into the school grounds to collect your child. This will reduce some of your wait times and congestion.
  • Consider picking up your child/children 10mins later. At 3.05/3.10pm there are very few cars in the church or the Kindy/Pre-Primary pick-up lines at that time. Children can be picked up from the gate until 3.15pm. After that time, they will wait for you in the office.
  • Is your child old enough and able to walk/ride to school rather than being picked up in a car? Better for their fitness and better for the environment. Children needing to cross Servite Terrace and Dundebar Road are supervised by two staff members to ensure their safety.

God Bless

Get Involved with Our “Your Move” Campaign

We are looking for interested members of our school community to help lead and support our Your Move campaign.

Your Move is a program that encourages students and families to choose active and sustainable ways to travel to school—such as walking, riding, scooting, or using public transport. The goal is to build healthy habits, reduce traffic around the school, and create a more active, connected community.

To keep the momentum going, we are hoping to form a small group of parents and community members who are willing to take a lead role in supporting the campaign.

This might include:

  • Helping to plan and promote initiatives such as Your Move Wednesdays
  • Organising simple activities or events throughout the year
  • Assisting with rewards and prize systems for students
  • Supporting communication and promotion within the school community

There is no expectation to take on a large workload—any level of support is appreciated, and involvement can be flexible.

If you are interested in getting involved or would like to find out more, please contact the school office or speak with me directly.

We would love to build a team of enthusiastic community members to help make active travel a regular part of school life.

Interschool Swimming Carnival 2026

Our school recently took part in the 2026 NIPSSA Interschool Swimming Carnival at the High-Performance Centre in Mt Claremont. We are incredibly proud to share that St Anthony’s finished 2nd overall — a fantastic achievement and a real credit to our students.

Throughout the day, our swimmers showed great determination and gave their best in every race. There were many standout individual efforts across all year groups, and it was wonderful to see students supporting and encouraging one another. A real highlight was our relay teams, who placed in the top 4 in all 7 events, and finishing 1st in 2 of the races — a brilliant effort that reflected our strong team spirit and willingness to work together.

A big thank you must go to our supportive parents, dedicated staff, and our Swim Club coach - Emily. Your behind-the-scenes help played an important role in making the day a success and ensuring everyone had a great experience.
