CME Families,
Get Involved! Join Us for Our First School Accountability Committee (SAC) Meeting
Are you interested in having a voice in our school’s goals, budget, and key operational decisions? We invite all Copper Mesa families to join us for our first School Accountability Committee (SAC) meeting of the year!
📅 Meeting Details:
Date: Monday, September 14, 2026
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: CME Library
Bonus: Snacks will be provided! 🥨
What is SAC?
SAC is a collaborative team of parents, staff, and community members who meet at least 5 times per year to advise administration on school priorities, financial planning, and academic progress.
While we will be filling open committee leadership positions at this meeting, you do not need a formal role to participate. All parents are welcome to attend any of our meetings throughout the school year to listen, ask questions, and share their perspective.
Your voice and input truly make a difference in shaping the future of CME. We hope to see you there!
Playground Supervision Before & After School
We love seeing our students playing on the playground before and after school! Outdoor, creative play gives our kids a wonderful break and helps cut down on screen time. To keep all our students safe, please keep the following supervision rules in mind:
Before School: All students must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.
After School (3:30 – 3:45 PM): All students must have an adult present with them on the playground.
After 3:45 PM: Older students are permitted to play without an adult.
Share Your Copper Mesa Pride with Future Families! 🐾
We know how much pride you take in our school community, and we would love your help sharing that enthusiasm with families moving into our area!
When prospective families are choosing a school, online platforms like Niche.com and GreatSchools.org are often the first places they look. By leaving a quick review about your family's experience at Copper Mesa, you can help showcase the incredible learning happening in our building every day—from our dedicated teachers and hands-on Science units to our welcoming school culture.
How you can help in 3 quick steps:
Visit Niche.com or GreatSchools.org.
Search for Copper Mesa Elementary.
Click “Write a Review” and share a few words about what makes CME special to your family (our staff, school spirit, academic learning, or favorite community events!).
Your voice makes a huge difference in helping our school shine and welcoming new families to our wonderful community. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support!
With gratitude,
Candice
