Parent survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y2XJLT9
Results of the survey will help us advance our work on continuous improvement in order to provide the best educational experience for your child.
World Wear Bins
McMillen HS PTSA benefits as a result of the placement of a shoes and clothing donation bin at our school in the parking lot. We are paid by the pound for each pound of shoes, clothing, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals placed in our bin. Please help our PTSA raise funds for school projects, teacher training, new technology and to generally support the children who attend our school.

Varsity Boys Golf Tournaments
The Varsity Boys Golf team has been to two tournaments, a 2-day tournament over the weekend and a tournament this week.
We went down to Waco to play in a 2-day tournament at Cottonwood Creek. It was set up a little different than most tournaments. The first day we played 18 holes (normal round). From the results of the first day we would play 9 holes against a team match play style (1 v. 1) whichever team won 3 out of the 5 pairings went to the championship match play.
We placed 4th after the first day, so we were in the GOLD division (top 4 teams). Carter Cox shot a 79, Kristian Leask 78, Grant Rae 80, Rayden Lee 82, and Blake Work 77.
Since we were 4th seed, we played the 1st seed, China Springs the first 9 holes the second day, and we pulled out the win over them, so we regrouped and played Covenant Christian for the Championship in the Gold Division. Unfortunately, we couldn't get anything together the second 9 holes, but we placed 2nd out of 22 teams!
AVID News
Every year in AVID one of our most impacting components of the program is having guest speakers share about their profession. McMillen AVID students are always thinking about college majors, and they love exposure to as many as possible. That's where guest speakers help the most. Whether you own a business, are in the medical profession, the world of transportation, hospitality, engineering, law, human relations, trade professions…we would love to schedule you to speak to our students. They are always interested and have an abundance of questions. If you would be willing to come share your profession with us, or if you know someone who would like to come be a guest speaker in our AVID classes, please contact Sherika Gaines, our AVID Coordinator, at sherika.gaines@pisd.edu with questions. You may click the Google Form or scan the QR code on the flyer. Please consider sharing what you do with our students! We look forward to hearing from you.

Theater News
The McMillen Theatre Department is pleased to present its 2026 spring musical: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum!
Broadway's greatest farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a nonstop laugh-fest set in Ancient Rome, in which Pseudolus, a crafty servant, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors and a showgirl or two. This unforgettable, hysterical musical comedy will have you laughing all the way to the Forum with "something for everyone, a comedy tonight!"
Please join us in the cafeteria on Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th at 7:00pm for a show that is sure to leave you in stitches! Tickets can be purchased online at https://finearts.pisd.edu/fine-arts-tickets.
