GEMS Family Crew News

Wow, can't believe that it is already summer! May seemed to fly past us quickly with all the events of the end of the school year. We hope your family has been able to enjoy the first two weeks of break so far.

Jody Davis, a 5th grade parent, has joined our co-coordinator team for the 2024-2025 school year.

We are so pleased to have her join Adrienne & Kristian in this role and we are looking forward to next year and planning some fantastic activities for the GEMS community.

Our families loved walking around and seeing all the different activities the classes have been doing.

Ms. Dean was able to provide volunteers to the crew table so we could all enjoy the evening with our own families!

Family Crew has been asked to help with some painting around the school interior. If you would be interested in helping with this please email familycrew@gemsschool.org with your availability or use this signup genius event and we will contact you. We are coordinating with Mr. Kutnow on dates and times.

We'll meet by one of the tables near the playground equipment just past the climbing wall & water tower.

Look for Kristian or Adrienne in their green Family Crew shirts. Kids can play while adults chat.

Brevoort Park Playground (3545 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43214)

Please join us to help clean up the back parking lot and playground, front parking lot and playground, and the lawns and sidewalks around the school.

If you are willing to volunteer at the Family Crew table at Back to school night we'd love the help! Each shift will be approximately 10-15 minutes. We need helpers to talk to families about what family crew is and pass out information on our upcoming events. We will also have a newsletter signup sheet available.

At Skate Zone 71 (4900 Evanswood Dr, Columbus, OH 43229)

The 1st hour (5-6pm) will be open to only GEMS students and family members and then 6-8:30 it will be open to the public.
