Weekly Wrap Up

Thank you so very much for getting your children to school this week as we completed IOWA testing. This is one part of a multitude of things that help us make data-informed decisions about how and what we can do to ensure your children are learning and making gains academically each day.

Next week our 8th grade students will be taking PSAT 8/9 on April 22, 2026. This has been on the calendar and these scores will be shared with ECHS to help develop future planning for the students. Please avoid appointments and absences if possible that day.

Our 7th grade students will take their Algebra Readiness screener on April 23, 2026 during Math class with Mrs. Popp. This will determine scheduling for next year’s 8th graders so please avoid appointments or absences.

We have had questions about “Free Dress” days. Free Dress tops have been requested as we were being challenged earlier this year with inappropriate bottoms. I know that students really look forward to these opportunities for free dress so we are adjusting with very specific guidance.

TWO free dress days on the calendar for Monday 4/20 (RaT) and Tuesday 4/21 (PTC/Cans) must be an appropriate TOP – no holes, spaghetti straps, halter tops, half shirts, inappropriate sayings, graphics and BOTTOMS must be appropriate length skirts, shorts (knee length) or pants without holes. Dresses that are appropriate length/style are also acceptable. NO leggings, lycra, athletic leggings or tennis skirts/dresses. Tennis shoes must still be worn on free dress day for PE and recess purposes. No hats are allowed.

The Super Drawing is the $100 52-week drawing tickets sold by our School Advisory Council and other volunteers usually during July. Winner's tickets are put back in so one ticket could win over and over! If you didn't get a ticket this year, be on the lookout for them next year!
