Kindergarten registration for the 2023 - 2024 school year will be held at Rice Elementary for all students that reside in the Rice catchment zone on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31.

• Registration times are as follows: 9:00am-12:00 noon and 1:00pm-3:00pm.
• The enrollment process should take approximately an hour.

Children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2023. Please bring your child with you for academic, speech, and vision screenings. Parents must bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate and current immunization records.

Three (3) proofs of residency are required; all must show name and current address. Please start with: a copy of the Deed to your home, agreement of sale, or a copy of your lease.

Support that document with two of the following: homeowner’s / tenant’s insurance statement, a current utility bill (gas, electric, water, sewer), PA driver’s license, PA vehicle registration, a property tax bill, current credit card bill, W-2 statement, voter registration card noting township or borough, a copy of State/Federal program enrollment.

In accordance with District Policy, in cases where the legal guardian is not the lessee or homeowner, but is residing with someone who is, please submit the above documents along with a notarized affidavit. Affidavits are available upon request from the school office.

My name is Brianna Dessoye, an 11th-grade student at Crestwood who is part of Junior Leadership Northeast. My leadership project is to collect canned and non-perishable items for St. Vincent DePaul’s Soup Kitchen in Wilkes- Barre.

I was privileged to have spent some time there with my leadership team and was greatly impacted by the amazing people who needed access to this service. My junior leadership team (8 total Juniors in various local High Schools) would like to help organize a food drive during the week of April 3 - 6, the flyer is attached.

Please donate as you are able. Thee class that brings in the most items will be provided a Donut Party as our way to say thanks! I appreciate your consideration for this important project.
