Revisions to Policy JCCC - Bus Conduct
The primary goal of this review was to simplify and clarify this policy that was last updated in 2003, ensuring it accurately reflects current administrative and transportation needs. These updates are essential for fostering a safer and more orderly transportation environment for all students and families. Thank you to the committee which convened to provide input and feedback on this policy and the changes:

Proposed New Policy IKC - Distribution of Materials
The primary goal of this new policy is to establish a formal policy for the distribution of external materials to ECSD students, teachers, staff, and administrators. This is the first-read of this policy and it will be placed on another upcoming Board agenda for further discussion and a vote from the Board of Trustees. If approved, the policy will activate a partnership with Peachjar, a digital flyer distribution service, which will help streamline communication. Peachjar will email district approved-flyers directly to parents on a set schedule. It will also post them to a digital "corkboard" for easy access anytime.
Community organizations will digitally submit flyers for approval through the platform. Once approved, they will be added to Peachjar for viewing and included in email communications. Additionally, a Peachjar button will be added to the homepage of every school website to help parents and the public find all of the opportunities available to our district.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in the Wells High School Auditorium.
