For the 5th year, VVUSD has been recognized for outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education. We are honored with this recognition!

Starting the week of Monday, April 12, we will be offering a 6-week virtual theatre course at 9 Elementary schools, and 4 Middle schools. In addition, one Elementary and Middle school will be offering a 6-week dance course. Instruction is provided by Riverside Arts Council teachers, and we are excited to begin! Thus far, we have over 200 students signed up, with more room to grow! Please reach out to Allyson Huntsman for information about how to connect students with sign-up resources!

In May, we will be hosting an online virtual art show, showcasing the work of our talented visual arts students! In addition to featuring secondary visual art student work, there will also be elementary representation! Each participating Elementary School has a site lead in charge of collection - he/she will be reaching out with more information soon.

For the 2020-2021 school year, we are pleased to offer ALL students and ALL teachers the opportunity to use this incredible program!

Soundtrap is an online digital audio workstation that allows users to explore creative sound making in a safe environment!

Introducing "VVUSD Does Meet the Masters, Distance Learning Style!"

10 Artist Units from the Meet the Masters Visual Arts Curriculum have been rolled out with distance learning adjustments! Resources are ready to be used with students, and all art activities utilize supplies commonly found around the home. Students will have a blast with these artist units!

In lieu of our annual Walk and Wonder tours at the Riverside Art Museum this year, we developed a virtual program for all district 1st graders! The museum has be pre-recorded a virtual museum tour and developed an accompanying art lesson. A box of most of the art supplies needed for the lesson has been sent to all elementary sites to disperse at the next supply pick-up!
