Application Requirement Updates at Queens

Hello,
In the wake of recent natural disasters that have had catastrophic effects across our region, we understand how challenging this time may be, and want to make the college application process as easy as possible for students.

At Queens, we’ve adjusted our application requirements in the following ways:

  • We’re now accepting unofficial and self-reported grades (pictures or screenshots transcripts are acceptable).
  • The essay is now an optional part of our application process.

We hope these changes help to make the application process more accessible. As always, our admissions team is here if you have any questions or need support.

Michelle Bishop, Director of Compliance

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to read, play role-playing games, and cook.

Tell a little bit about your background.

I have been in education for over 40 years. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master's in Special Education. I have lived in South Carolina for most of my life. I have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter who is the love of my life.

What do you do at SCWS and what do you enjoy most about your role?

I am the Director of Compliance, which fits me because I love reading about rules and regulations. I also enjoy working with the students who need specialized instruction.

What do you want the students to know about you?

I believe everyone can succeed if they try. One of my favorite quotes is "There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure." β€” Colin Powell.
