Calling All WCES Volunteers!
Attendance Matters ALL DAY, EVERYDAY
TAKE ATTENDANCE SERIOUSLY
It’s common for students to experience a significant increase in chronic absenteeism during the winter months due to an increase in typical illnesses. If your child must be absent due to illness, please email WCESResidency@fultonschools.org, your child’s (1) legal first and last name, (2) teacher’s name, (3) all the dates your child was absent, and the (4) reason for missing school. Please also copy your child's homeroom teacher on the email. It is important to include a photo or scanned image of the doctor’s note, if you take your child to be seen. If your child is missing a lot of school due to illness, please reach out to our clinic assistant, Ms. Ankita Doshi, for guidance. Chronic absenteeism occurs when students miss 10% or more of school for any reason.
Additionally, it's important that kids arrive to school on time every day. Please remember that our car rider line can back up closer to 7:30. Consider being in line closer to 7:10 or by having your child ride the school bus to prevent tardies.
Help Your Child Succeed in School: Build the Habit of Good Attendance! School success goes hand in hand with good attendance!
ACCESS Testing
Students served in ESOL classes will take the ACCESS test (test of English language proficiency) from January 20th to February 6th. If you have questions about the test, please reach out to your child’s ESOL teacher or Assistant Principal, Ms. Radhika Godbole at godboler@fultonschools.org.
Northview Cluster Chorus Concert
The Northview Cluster Chorus Concert will take place at the Johns Creek Baptist Church ( 6910 McGinnis Freey Road, Alpharetta, GA 3005) on Tuesday, February 3rd from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Please join us to enjoy some great singing and celebrate our students and teachers.
Georgia School Climate Family Survey
Parents and guardians, Your voice matters! Help us create a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for our students by participating in the Georgia School Climate Survey.
This quick, anonymous survey gathers feedback on our school’s learning environment, safety, relationships, and overall climate. Your insights directly influence decisions to improve programs, policies, and culture—and impact school star ratings with the State of Georgia.
Please take a few moments to complete the survey by February 20, 2026

ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE – New Year, Fresh Start
A new semester is a chance to recommit to excellent attendance. Every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for success.
Attending school regularly in January sets a pattern—students who attend 90% or more this month are more likely to meet year-end goals.
The late bell rings at 7:40am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.
Please email WCESResidency@fultonchools.org and copy your child’s teacher when your child is absent.
