Note from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

As we wrap up the month of October, I want to take a moment to celebrate the many accomplishments of our school community. We have officially completed the first quarter of the school year, and I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by both students and staff.

Our attendance across grades 6–12 has been excellent, with a current daily average of TBD%, reflecting the commitment of our students and families to being present and engaged each day.

We also want to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of our students. Honor Rolls have been posted, and we are thrilled with the results—especially at the middle school level.

  • 6th grade had an overwhelming start to the year with 81% of students earning a place on an Honor Roll—50% (13 students) on A/B and 31% (8 students) on All A’s.

  • 7th grade celebrated 61% on the Honor Roll, with 55% (18) on A/B and 6% (2) on All A’s.

  • 8th grade saw 56% of students earn Honor Roll recognition, including 32% (8) on A/B and 24% (6) on All A’s.
In total, 55 middle school students (65%) achieved Honor Roll status—a fantastic accomplishment!

At the high school level, we are proud of the 21% of students who made the Honor Rolls, with 12 students (14%) on A/B and 6 students (7%) on All A’s. While there is room for growth, we are confident these numbers will continue to rise as we move through the year.

Our fall sports teams had successful seasons, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and sportsmanship. We now look forward to an exciting winter basketball season and many upcoming school activities in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making our school a great place to learn, compete, and grow. Let’s keep the momentum going into the second quarter!

Warm regards,
Codi Montes-Dennis
Principal, Hagerman High School

GO Bond Voting - 11/4/25 GO Bond Voting - 11/4/25

On Monday, November 4, our community will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of Hagerman Schools through the upcoming General Obligation (GO) Bond Election. This important measure helps us continue working toward our goal of providing Hagerman students with the best possible environment to learn, grow, and succeed.

A YES vote supports much-needed investments in our school facilities, programs, and resources — without any increase in taxes. Your support directly contributes to enhancing educational opportunities and ensuring our students have access to safe, modern, and inspiring spaces to learn.

Please note, there will be no school on Election Day, and the local polling place is the Hagerman JOY Center.

We encourage all eligible community members to make their voices heard and take part in this important decision that will shape the future of our students and our school community. Your vote matters—thank you for supporting Hagerman Schools!
