Around The Building
🏫 Around the Building: 3rd Quarter Updates
It is hard to believe we are already midway through the 3rd quarter! Time is certainly flying as our students stay busy with learning and special activities.
Community Connections
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Donuts with Grown-Ups event. Your presence is invaluable; having families in the building makes the day so much more special for our students and helps strengthen our school community.
Extracurricular & Enrichment
Our building is buzzing with activity! We are thrilled to see the impact of our collaborations with Youth Hope, specifically through the Art Program and Men of Valor programs. Additionally, our Monday after-school programs have officially launched and are off to a fantastic start. These opportunities provide our students with wonderful ways to grow their talents and build leadership skills outside of the traditional classroom.
Fueling a Love for Reading
This Friday, we are kicking off a school-wide Reading Incentive Program sponsored by the River Bandits! We will begin with an exciting assembly to build energy and enthusiasm around literacy. We can't wait to see our students dive into their books! We encourage all our families to join us in this mission by reading with your children at home. Whether it's reading a bedtime story together or asking your student to tell you about their favorite character, your engagement makes a world of difference in developing their lifelong love for reading.

District Wide ST MATH Competition
🐧 ST Math Challenge: Wells Earns 2nd Place!
At Wells Elementary, we utilize ST Math, a visual learning program designed to deepen mathematical understanding. By solving puzzles with "JiJi" the penguin, students build critical thinking skills in a fun and engaging way.
This past week, our district held a friendly competition among schools to see which building could complete the most math puzzles.
The Final Standings:
Wells Elementary earned a fantastic 2nd Place finish out of four schools!
Collectively, Wells students completed 18,642 puzzles.
A special congratulations to Mrs. Lagerstam’s 4th grade class, who led the entire district with 3,978 puzzles!
To celebrate this achievement, Mrs. Lagerstam’s class has earned an ice cream party! We are very proud of the effort and grit all of our students displayed during this challenge. Way to go, Wells! 🍦✨
