Trussville City Schools Foundation Distinctive Tag – FAQ

1. What is the Trussville City Schools distinctive car tag?

It’s a specialty license plate that shows your support for both the Trussville City Schools Foundation and the Trussville City Schools Athletic Foundation.

2. Who benefits from the tag?

Both foundations benefit directly. Funds support educational programs, classroom needs, and athletic opportunities for students.

3. How much does the tag cost?

The first year is FREE for the first 1,000 people who sign up.After that, individuals have the option of paying $50 to renew their plate. This would be handled at the tag office.

4. How much money goes back to the schools?

From each tag purchased, $48.75 goes directly to support the two foundations.

5. Why is it important to be one of the first 1,000?

Reaching the first 1,000 commitments helps ensure the tag becomes available—and you’ll also get your first year free.

6. Do I have to pay anything up front?

No—there is no upfront cost to reserve your tag as part of the first 1,000. The only cost is upon renewal of your car tag.

7. When will I receive my tag?

Once the 1,000 commitment goal is met and production is approved, you will be emailed a voucher. Individuals will take the voucher to their tag office and pick up the license plate free of charge.

8. Where do I get my tag?

You will pick up your car tag from your local tag office. The Trussville Tag Office will have the tags available upon request.

9. Can I still get the tag after the first 1,000?

Yes! However, the free first-year offer only applies to the first 1,000 participants.

10. How do I sign up?

You can sign up through the official Google form provided by the school system or foundations.

11. Can businesses or organizations participate?

Absolutely! Anyone with an eligible vehicle can sign up and show their support.

12. Why should I participate?

It’s an easy way to give back, show school pride, and directly support students, teachers, and athletic programs in Trussville. Show everyone that you are riding with the Huskies.

🐾⚾ Huskies Sweep Hoover! ⚾🐾

Hewitt-Trussville Varsity Baseball completed an impressive three-game sweep over the Hoover Bucs this week, showing resilience, clutch hitting, and strong pitching across all three matchups.

In Game 1, the Huskies earned an 8-3 win on the road after a slow start. Hoover jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but Hewitt-Trussville responded in a big way in the fifth, exploding for six runs to take control. Hudson Mitchell delivered the key moment with a three-run double, finishing the night with four RBIs. Mitchell also picked up the win on the mound, striking out five over five innings, while Rylan Clark shut the door with two scoreless innings in relief. The Huskies played clean defense with no errors in the win.

Game 2 brought the drama, as Hewitt-Trussville walked it off in a 4-3 victory at home. After trailing early, the Huskies chipped away, highlighted by a solo home run from Jace Riggan in the third inning. The game was tied heading into the seventh when Mitchell came through again, delivering a walk-off single to secure the win. Riggan was credited with the win on the mound, while starter McIntosh was dominant, striking out nine over nearly seven innings and keeping the Huskies within striking distance.

The Huskies completed the sweep in Game 3 with a 5-2 win back at Hoover. Hewitt-Trussville wasted no time getting on the board and broke the game open in the third inning with a two-run single from Futrell, followed by an error that extended the lead. Smith earned the win with a solid outing, and Bromley came in to collect the save. The Huskies spread the offense throughout the lineup, with multiple players contributing hits and RBIs, and added a double play defensively to help seal the victory.

Across the series, Hewitt-Trussville showcased timely hitting, depth throughout the lineup, and consistent pitching to secure the sweep. The Huskies outscored Hoover 17-8 over the three games and found ways to win in a variety of situations—coming from behind, walking it off, and controlling the game from the start.
