Staffing News:
In next week's Gazette, we will share the grade level teaching assignments for the 2025-2026 school year. Just as in past years, student assignments will be available in the parent portal in early August.
We did want to let our families know that next year, Mrs, Menard will be teaching full-day Kindergarten at Cold Spring Elementary. Mrs. Menard has been a part of the district's realignment committee and has been working behind the scenes to help to create an outstanding full-day kindergarten experience for our youngest learners in Central Bucks. Mrs. Menard will return to Gayman in the fall of 2026. Her plan is to help Cold Spring establish their full-day experience and then bring everything that she has learned back to Gayman when we will begin our full-day kindergarten.
Move Up Day:
Gayman will hold a Move Up Day on Thursday, June 12th from 9:00-10:00AM.
Students will not be assigned a specific teacher by that date. Instead students will meet all grade level teachers and learn about the highlights of what the 2025-2026 school year will hold for them. Our goal in this activity is to build excitement about the coming year and reduce anxiety for the next school year, as we head into the summer.
We look forward to the upcoming school year!
**AM Kindergarten families, please check your email for your invite to Move Up Day!
Device Collection - 3rd and 6th Grades:
The Technology and Innovation Department is preparing to collect all devices from students in grades 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th. Students in grades 4-5, 7-8, and 10-11 will keep their device over the summer.
Below are details about the collection of these devices. Please read them carefully:
Gayman (3rd and 6th grade, as well as students Not Returning to Gayman in the Fall) will be collecting student devices beginning on Friday, June 6th. Please send your child(ren) to school on Friday morning with their district-issued device, any CB device accessories such as: charging cables, laptop pens/stylus. Please make sure your student’s name is on the device with any known issues. Your child’s (3rd/6th) classroom teacher will collect all items and track any missing items.
*Please make sure no personal stickers are left on the device. CB/Lenovo stickers (picture below) on the bottom must remain on the device. Some devices have a temporary tag with LT that can remain.
Laptop users: Your AC adapter must be a manufacturer-issued (Lenovo) charging cable. Generic brands are not accepted. All screen breaks must be fixed and/or reported prior to collection. Students who turn in a broken screen on collection day will be subject to a fee.
- Device Pens: All laptops must be returned with a pen.
- Devices/Accessories not Returned: If a student does not return his/her device, hotspot, pen or charger a fee will be issued per student. Devices not returned will be disabled and unusable.
Missing Accessories: If you know your child is missing items, please complete the payment in MyPayments Plus under the category of “CB Technology” or write a check made out to Central Bucks School District for any of the following missing items. MyPayments Plus proof of payments and checks can be sent in with your child starting on Monday. Payment must be received by June 13th. Parent Portal access will be disabled until payment is received.

Reminder-Early Dismissals on June 11th, 12th and 13th:
As we approach the last month of the school year, we want to remind families about three early dismissals in June: Wednesday, June 11th (graduation); Thursday, June 12th (teacher in-service); and Friday, June 13th (last day of school).
On these days, high school will dismiss at 10:40 a.m.; middle school at 10:45 a.m.; and elementary school at 11:55 a.m. (“A” schools), 12:10 p.m. (“B” schools), and 12:25 p.m. (“C” schools).
Kindergartners in our AM program will attend on June 11th, which will also be their last day. Kindergartners in our PM program will attend on June 12th and 13th, ensuring both AM and PM groups have equally attended school for six half-days over the course of the district's twelve early dismissals this year. Let's finish the year strong!

Reminder on Helmet and E-Bike State Laws to Promote Student Safety:
As the weather warms up, students are more regularly walking or biking to school, and e-bikes are becoming increasingly popular. In Pennsylvania, an e-bike is defined as a bicycle with working pedals and an electric motor that provides pedal-assist or throttle power. To ensure our families are aware, under state law, children under 16 are prohibited from operating e-bikes and children under 12 must wear a helmet when riding any bicycle, e-bike, scooter, or segway. The requirement to wear a helmet applies to anyone operating the bicycle, riding as a passenger, or riding in an attached restraining seat or trailer. Also, per CBSD Policy 223, students must have both principal and parent permission to ride a bike to school. We ask families to please ensure children under 16 do not ride an e-bike to school. We also ask parents to ensure children 12 and under wear a helmet and we encourage all bike riders to do the same. Any questions, please contact your school.
Lunch costs have increased by $.10 for the 24-25 school year.
The district is continuing to offer free breakfast!
Lunch Cost: $2.85
Create a Meal Payment Account on MySchoolBucks:
CBSD utilizes the online platform MySchoolBucks for school meal payments, making it easy to oversee a child's meal choices and maintain their account balance. It is important that an account is created for every student, regardless of whether they take part in school meals or not.
You can access MySchoolBucks to view and/or set up an account for your student(s) here.
To set up an account, you will need your child(ren)'s student identification number(s), which can be found in the Parent Portal.
As we approach the end of the school year, menu items may change due to availability.
Free & Reduced Lunch Information:
The application for free and reduced meal pricing for the 2024-25 school year is open. You can access the online application for Free & Reduced Meals by clicking here. The application must be submitted each year AND for each child. If your child received free or reduced lunch last year, you must re-apply for the 24-25 school year.
