Sprague School

Halloween & Harvest Celebrations
Sprague will hold Halloween Parties (EC-2) and a Harvest Party (K-2) on Friday, October 31. Families are not invited to attend class parties other than room parents, but weather permitting, they may attend the outside parade. If weather does not permit an outside parade, the parade will be inside and recorded and parents may view a recording of it on our YouTube Channel.
AM & Extended Day Early Childhood
AM & Extended Day Early Childhood will enjoy an indoor parade starting at 10:20 a.m. The students will parade in the main hallway and through the Imaginarium.
Parents are welcome to watch the EC students parade through the main hallway.
Class parties will run from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m.
PM Early Childhood & Kindergarten through Grade 2 Parade
- Full-day kindergarten through second-grade students, along with PM Early Childhood students, will enjoy an outdoor parade (weather permitting) and a Halloween party.
Families are welcome to attend the outdoor parade, weather permitting, which will take place behind the school along the playground sidewalks from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
Families who cannot attend the afternoon parade may view a live stream on our YouTube Channel.
Room parents may enter the classroom at 12:45 p.m. to set up for the party and assist students with their costumes, if needed.
Class parties will conclude at 2:00 p.m (Room parents only).
Half-Day kindergarten students are invited back to Sprague at 12:45 p.m. to enjoy the parade and Halloween party.
In Preparation for the Parties
- Students in early childhood, full-day kindergarten, and grades 1-2 should bring their costumes in a bag labeled with their names.
- Any item that could serve as a weapon must be left at home.
- Wheeled shoes, rollerblades, skateboards, etc. may not be brought to school.
- Teachers and room parents will assist with costumes.
- Please consult the parking map, which shows where it is legally safe to park near Sprague. Parking is very limited so please arrive early and carpool, if possible.
Harvest Party
The Harvest Party is an alternative for those students who do not participate in Halloween celebrations. By signing up your child for the Harvest Party 2025, they will participate in crafts and games in the library with Mrs. B. (without costumes). Students attending the Harvest Party will not join their class for the costume Halloween party and parade. If you wish for your child to participate in the classroom Halloween party and parade in costume, there's no need to fill out this form. For questions about the Harvest Party, please contact Mrs. Bever at jbever@d103.org.
