Principal's Update
Dear Parkview Families,
What a fun Friday we had at at Parkview! Students enjoyed the PAW Bucks Store and Monster Math Hunt, and our Harvest Festival was a wonderful way to celebrate the season. I loved listening to the Parktasticks, seeing families enjoy the carnival games, and watching students take on the donut dangle. The food and desserts were delicious, and the creative pumpkins in our Flames of Fall display were the highlight of the evening. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special event! A BIG shoutout to our Parent Volunteer Exraodinarre, Nan Miner for all her hard work putting together a magical pumpkin display.
We have another packed week Here’s what’s coming up this week:
- Tuesday, October 27: Minimum day. All students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. There will be no BLAST or Homework Heroes, so please make sure your child knows their plan for going home.
- Wednesday, October 28: We’ll celebrate our Students of the Month with special lunches. It’s also our MOD Pizza takeover! MOD Pizza will donate 25% of profits to Parkview.
- Thursday, October 29: Our staff will enjoy a baked potato bar.
- Friday, October 30: Parent Cafe, come and grab a hot cup of coffee and mingle with other Parkview parents before The Halloween Parade. Our Halloween parade begins at 9:00 a.m. Students may wear costume masks during the parade only. Please remember that costumes may not include blood or weapons. Parents are welcome to watch the parade.
- Saturday, October 31: Before bed on Halloween night, remember to set your clocks back one hour for the end of daylight saving time.
We’re looking forward to another fun week at Parkview. Thank you for being part of our school community!

- Proof of date of birth (birth certificate, birth record, passport, baptismal certificate, affidavit of the parent, guardian or custodian of the minor or other legal proof),
- Two forms verifying proof of residency, and
- Written immunization record from a physician, nurse, or health department.
Children must be immunized for MMR - measles, mumps and rubella (German measles), polio, DTaP - diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough), Hepatitis B, and Varicella (chicken pox) prior to school entry. State law requires students beginning Kindergarten have all required immunizations. Students missing immunizations will not be able to start school until we received these records.
Breakfast and Before School Care
Our MPR is open at 6:45 for students who need before school care. Students do not need to register in advance. Breakfast is served starting at 7:45 and ends at 8:15. Gates open at 8:05 for students to head to classrooms, put their backpacks down, and then walk to the playground. Any parent wishing to assist their child with breakfast or sit with them while they eat, will need to check in the office and go to the wellness center, which opens at 7:45 AM. To respect student privacy and safety we ask that parents do not stay with their child in the MPR or on the playground..
