Mission

๐ Welcome Back, Dragons! Connecting, Learning & Growing
Dear Dealey Families,
Welcome back! I hope Fall Break brought your family time to rest, recharge, and enjoy being together. We look forward to welcoming our Dragons back on Tuesday, October 13, as we begin the second grading cycle!
Our four-day week includes important reminders, opportunities to connect, and celebrations of the people and cultures that enrich our community. Please review the announcements and flyers below so you donโt miss a deadline!
๐ Celebrating National School Lunch Week
October 12โ16 is National School Lunch Week, and we want to give a big THANK YOU to our Dealey cafeteria team! Their daily work helps keep our Dragons nourished and ready to learn. Encourage your child to share a kind word of appreciation with our cafeteria staff this week!
๐ Hispanic Heritage Month: Learning Beyond the Celebration
As Hispanic Heritage Month concludes on October 15, we continue celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Our commitment to exploring the world and learning from one another continues throughout the year!
๐ Kindness, Inclusion & Belonging
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. At Dealey, every Dragon has a role in creating a welcoming community.
Please take a few minutes this week to talk with your child about including others, using respectful words, and asking a trusted adult for help when something feels unsafe or unkind. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
๐ End of Cycle 1: Stay Connected Through PowerSchool
As we begin a new grading cycle, please review the PowerSchool UpdatesโEnd of Cycle 1 flyer below. Take time to check your childโs grades and make sure your contact information is current so you receive important campus communications.
Report cards will be ready Friday, October 16. This is a great opportunity to celebrate progress and identify questions to discuss at upcoming parent conferences.
