WELCOME

Welcome to Week 3 at Park Crest MS! There's so much going on this week, so please read through our whole newsletter.

We have several sign ups-from Concessions (yes, it's already that season!) to our upcoming Baked Potato Bar (Spud-tacular) for staff! There's lots of ways to be involved, even for busy, working parents. We hope you'll take a minute to check out our opportunties.

It's also Open House this week, so check out that section for details!

We have an upcoming meeting (virtually) on September 16th, and we're looking for hospitality coordinators (not for the whole year, but per event this year to reduce the stress load on any one person).

We had to work out a process for our online order deliveries, but those should be delivered this week as well!

Looking forward to a great year!

FOOTBALL CONCESSIONS

Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country Season is upon us! Since our PTO doesn't collect dues (it's important to us to include everyone regardless of $!), we make the majority of our income through selling concessions. Plus, it's fun for students and families, and an important morale booster at games!

This year, our volleyball court is having work done, so we are unable to sell concessions at other campuses. But, we have football season and cross country.

It's a BIG job, but you can help as much (or as little) as you want. Just come, get to know us, watch the games, interact with some great kids, and have fun!

SELL MERCH AT OPEN HOUSE

Since the PTO officers also want to be able to walk around and see their kids' classes at Open House, we need some parents to help us take shifts selling PTO merch (mainly Tshirts). We realize it's short notice, but if you're available, SIGN UP HERE.

SEPTMBER SPUD-TACULAR! Sept. 16th

Our September Hospitality event will be a Spud-tacular (Baked Potato Bar) for Staff. Although PTO will purchase the potatoes and most of the fixin's, we need help with a few things in particular. From lending us a crock pot to chopping chives, we need your help!

HOSPITALITY HELP (throughout the year-help us share the load)

This year, we've determined all our monthly staff hospitality events in advance. We are hoping to get 2 people to sign up, not for EVERYTHING but for each single event, to help us coordinate things that month. PTO will still create sign ups, but ingredients, help you coordinate deliveries, and set ups, but it would be up to the coordinators for a specific event to email us lists of supplies, and how many volunteers/donations they think they'll need. Since we are all working parents, these coordinator positions would help us share some of the mental load. We realize we can't always keep up with everything or get out the word in advance, but we believe this strategy will help with everyone's time and efficiency. To see our 26-27 planned hospitality events, CLICK HERE. If you already see an specific event that you'd like to help with, please email us: pto.parkcrest@gmail.com.
