Principal Message Principal Message

Our 4 day week is all wrapped up.

On Monday, our archery team had practice. They are preparing for the upcoming NASP tournament on March 20th.

On Thursday, Our 4-6 basketball club continued their season.

Mrs. Kowalchuk held the first practice of chimes (Monday) and choir (Tuesday). In order to run, both clubs require a 7 student participants. The plan is to have them perform as spring tea. If we do not have enough students interested these clubs will not run this year.

Next week is a regular 5 day week.

Below you see the first of a series of special mini articles. As you all know this will be the last year of Wildwood School. As part of that I would like to share bits of our schools history. If you have bits of history or artifacts that you would like to share please email or call Mr. Stoyles so we can share parts of the school's past as we get ready for a new future in September.

As always feel free to reach out regarding any questions or concerns by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.

Sincerely,

Alan Stoyles

JK - Work on colours and letters JK - Work on colours and letters

his week:

We focused on letters V, W and X - Tracing and Letter Hunt!

We did tower building with blocks - by following instructions to add 1-5 blocks using specific colors. This not only was hand-eye coordination but also counting and color recognition. The students did GREAT!

We made bracelets using beads… not only is this a coordination activity as well but the students also had to tell me the color of EACH bead they put on their bracelet! Again, they all did SO GOOD!

In Music we sang Old McDonald Had a Farm and talked about what a beat is. We made a beat with our shakers and wood sticks.

We enjoyed our time in the Gym with our K/1 friends!

We colored new Binder Covers and Traced our Names!

Our favorite play time activities this week were blocks as usual, and the PUPPETS!

Next Week: Focus letters are Y and Z! This will be followed by a full Alphabet review!

Thank you,

- Ms. Y - JK Program Coordinator.

Wildwood School: Wasps become Wolves Wildwood School: Wasps become Wolves

As you take a tour of Wildwood School there is no doubt that we are the Wolves. It's in our logo, our gym floor and even our Wolf that greets you as you come in. But if you look around with a close eye to detail you will see signs of another name, the Wasps. In the form of sports banners, old trophies and medallions you can see signs of this piece of Wildwood School's history.

If you are dropping by the school look in the display case by the gym for some pieces of our past.

FOPLS FOPLS

Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!

The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.

Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
