The latest Rebel-Ed Podcast showcases one of my amazing students, Aubyn Briscoe. In the interview, Aubyn, a fifth grade student at South Gray, shares her reading struggles and success. Mrs. Jantz started Aubyn on this life-changing path utilizing the Alphabetic Phonics Program. Alphabetic Phonics focuses on multi-sensory systematic and explicit reading instruction. With this program Aubyn has found joy in reading! I feel so lucky to get to be a part of Aubyn's continued reading journey.

eILP

Copeland and Montezuma have been working with our Southwest Plains Title III Consultant, Natalie Briscoe, to use the eILP program to log surveys, EL assessment data, goals and individual plans. This program will help us share information with parents, teachers and coordinate student data between districts. This is a big step in streamlining transitions for our schools!

Learning Ally

Research shows that when students struggle to read, accessing grade level content is essential to continue to build vocabulary and background knowledge. A great way to do this is with audio books! Montezuma has purchased Learning Ally, so that students can access novels, textbooks and so much more! I've set up a few teachers to get started. Please let me know if you have a student who might benefit from this program.
