Schedule Changes: Form Avaialable august 4 - 14
If any student needs to make a change to their schedule, they can complete this form
bit.ly/johsschedulechange. PLEASE NOTE , this form will be active for your requests August 4 – 14. To ensure efficient communication from the counselors, please submit specific requests only once.
Issues with schedules typically include the following:
1) course was previously taken
2) course was taken in summer school
3) there is a class missing or
4) there are too many classes during the same period
As counselors work to support student needs, please keep the following in mind:
1.) Requests may not always be possible due to scheduling conflicts.
2) Requests to be removed from a class that you selected on the registration form may be
denied.
3) Requests to be moved into a higher level class as well as Cambridge or AP are on a space
available basis.
4) Some classes on the registration form were not available due to low interest. Therefore, an
alternate class was chosen.
5) Change requests that are not crucial to meeting graduation or pathway requirements, involve movement to a more Advanced level class, or address technical issues outlined above will NOT result in a schedule change.
IMPORTANT
Students may submit change requests from August 4th- August 14th.
Counselors will contact students the week of August 17th-21st.
By submitting this form you agree and indicate you are the parent/guardian of the Overton
student or the student acting with permission of your parent/guardian!

Changes to Free/Reduced Lunch
For the last six years, our school has participated in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federal reimbursement program that allows school districts to offer lunch at no cost to students.
This year, our school is no longer eligible to offer this program and lunch at no-cost to all students. We will continue to serve breakfast at no-cost to all students.
Families who may be eligible for free- and reduced-lunch prices can easily apply online at this website: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application. Paper applications are available at the school, if open, or from our MNPS school bus meal delivery locations while we are operating virtually. Families can use last year’s eligibility status through Sept. 14, 2020 or until a new application is processed.
Visit www.mnps.org/cep for more details.
Additional information can be found in this letter from MNPS.
