Dear Mayfair Community,
Strong Start to the School Year: Achievements in Our First Three Weeks!
I LOVE DATA
We are thrilled to share some incredible achievements and milestones that we have already accomplished in just three short weeks of the school year. These early successes reflect the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our entire school community – from students and teachers to support staff and administrators.
Here are some key highlights that we are extremely proud of:
- Outstanding Attendance in Middle School: Over 50% of our middle school students have achieved perfect attendance and zero tardies. To celebrate their commitment to punctuality and responsibility, these students were treated to a special celebration and early release from their classes last Friday. We are so proud of their efforts and look forward to recognizing even more students for their achievements throughout the year!
- Attendance Across All Grade Levels: Our overall attendance rate continues to be on the rise. We are arriving on campus 93% of the time, and tardies have decreased across all periods. This upward trend is a positive reflection of our community’s dedication to learning and our efforts to support students in being present and on time.
- A Focus on Student Success: We continue to prioritize student success with our updated bell schedule, which is designed to ensure students have more opportunities to explore electives while reducing class time missed by athletes. Our bell schedule, now in its second year, has already resulted in a record number of CTE completers last year, and we are on track to see even more progress this year!
Data We Need Your Help With:
Parents and Guardians, while we are seeing tremendous improvement, we are still experiencing the highest number of tardies during the first period of each day. Please strategize with your students to help them arrive to school on time. We greatly appreciate your continued support in this effort!
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to student success!

Prop 28 Survey
Dear Mayfair Families, when you have a moment this week, please be sure to complete the Mayfair Proposition 28 Survey. No need to complete the survey again if you finished the survey last week.
Our school is currently looking to improve our arts and music programs at Mayfair Middle/High School using proposition 28 funding. Proposition 28 was approved by California voters on November 8, 2022. Its purpose is to be an ongoing source of funding for preschool through grade twelve (P-12) public schools to supplement (expand) arts and music education programs.
Reminders
Listed below are just a few reminders:
- Mayfair Middle/High School does not permit any drop-offs or deliveries of food or other items. Please ensure that your student is prepared for the day when coming to school in the morning with their lunch, supplies, money, etc.
- Dress Code. For the 2024-2025 school year, we are trying to prepare our students for college and career ready with a dress code. Students will not be allowed to wear any inappropriate clothing which includes the following: No sheer, low cut, revealing blouses, bare midriff, or braless outfits, bathing suits, beach attire, tight or revealing, or strapless garments. Please be sure that your student follows the dress code and wears appropriate clothing and accessories. Also, students may not bring blankets to campus. Click here to access Mayfair's Dress Code Policy.
- No returning back to campus. If a student has an early release (7th or 8th period), once the student leaves campus, they may not return to campus during school hours. Parents - please ensure that your students are going home early if they have the early release.

Families that haven't completed this will eventually be contacted multiple times by the school in order to ensure completion.
To complete data confirmation, parents need a Parent Portal account. If you do not have the required information (Student ID Number and Verification Code) to create a Parent Portal account, please contact your school site. The school sites open on August 1, 2024.

Minga
Mayfair Middle/High School students will utilize the app called Minga as a digital ID card. The app enables staff to create hall passes, reward students for doing well and helping others, and the digital ID card will help students have an easier time entering or leaving campus. The digital ID has a "live" interface, with a running digital clock and a moving background, thus preventing students from using a screenshot [Screenshots of ID are not permitted]. Students will utilize their school email (via Google) to log in. The app is safe to use, uses very little data, and doesn't require access to any of the information stored on your phone. If your child does not have a smartphone, don't worry - they will receive a printed ID card as well. Click here to access a quick document that shows you how to log into your school's Minga account.
