Hello Fuller Elementary Families!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend and are looking forward to another great week at Fuller Elementary! Kicking off our fundraiser has been an incredible success, and I am thrilled to share some exciting updates with you.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in supporting our school fundraiser. It brought immense joy to deliver gift cards for classroom supplies and resources donated by you and your families. The expressions of gratitude from our teachers, as they received your contributions, were truly heartwarming. Your kindness is making a tangible difference in our classrooms, and the smiles and shock on their faces said it all!

Remember, the opportunity to contribute is still open. You can continue to donate, send emails, and spread the word on Facebook. Your continued support will allow us to keep putting smiles on our teachers' faces and enhance the learning experience for all our students.

Now, let's take a look at the current standings for our fundraiser competition:

- **Most Emails Sent:** 1st Grade leads with an impressive 86 emails, closely followed by Kindergarten at 82 and 2nd Grade at 79.

- **Money Earned:** Kinder is in the lead, followed by 2nd Grade in 2nd place, and 1st Grade in 3rd. I am challenging 3rd-5th grades to step it up and secure a spot in the top 3 this week!

In other exciting news, our 5th graders will have the opportunity to tour Aubrey Middle School on Thursday, as they begin to prepare for their upcoming transition.

Additionally, our 4th and 5th-grade leadership team will be selling flower grams starting tomorrow morning at 7:10 AM. These delightful tokens are priced at just $1 each. Check out the attached flyer for more details and grab yours early to spread some floral cheer!

Thank you again for your incredible support. Let's continue this momentum and make a lasting impact on our school community.

Remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

School Store Fundraiser! School Store Fundraiser!

Hello Parents,

I want to personally thank all the families who have already participated in our SchoolStore fundraiser! We are on our way to reaching our goal, but we need everyone's help to make sure our teachers get the essential tools they need to help our students succeed.

If your family has not participated, there's still time!

This safe and easy fundraiser is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.

Please help now. It really will make a difference.

Go to https://www.schoolstore.net/sid.t?0000369738 to show our valued teachers your support.

Thanks

Jackie Fuller Elementary School

P.S. Family participation is the key to our success, and we are counting on you!

District Policy on Student Illness

Parents, if your child has a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, please keep your student home until symptom free 24 hours without the use of medications. This will greatly reduce the spread of illness, and help us keep our Students, Faculty and Staff Healthy. Per our student handbook:

Illness (All Grade Levels)

"When your child is ill, please contact the school to let us know he or she will not be attending that day. State rules require schools to exclude students with certain illnesses from school for certain periods of time. For example, if a child has a fever over 100 degrees, he or she must stay out of school until fever free for 24 hours without use of fever-reducing medications. Students with diarrheal illnesses must stay home until they are diarrhea-free without use of diarrhea-suppressing medications for 24 hours (p. 69)."

If your student is sent home from school due to illness they will need to be symptom free 24 hours prior to returning unless cleared by a healthcare provider and note provided. If your student is sent to school before 24 hours without a doctor's note, you will be called by the nurse to come pick up your student. If your student is to be out longer than 24 hours, please provide a parent or doctor's note and e-mail: sharrison@aubreyisd.net.

If your student is due or has had recent immunizations please e-mail them to Nurse Perlick at tperlick@aubreyisd.net so that she can keep your students records updated. If your student is behind on immunizations they will not be able to attend class and you will have to come pick up your student. These will also not be excused absences. Thank you for your help.

ATTENDANCE ATTENDANCE

Here at Fuller, our campus wide attendance goal is 96%.

During the first nine weeks of school, five grade levels met or exceeded the campus' attendance goal.

Here at Fuller, we will continue to recognize attendance, engage students and families, monitor attendance data, provide early outreach and respond to barriers of attendance.

Families, please remember a habit of attendance is a school readiness skill. If your child is going to be absent, please notify your child's classroom teacher and our campus registrar sharrison@aubreyisd.net.

PARENT/DOCTORS NOTES- Please be sure you emails regarding absences to sharrison@aubreyisd.net. You may also drop a hard copy of a parent or doctor's note in the front office. Parents, please email notes to Mrs. Harrison as well so that she can document absences as they occur. Once we come back from break, we will not be able to access semester 1 to adjust attendance. Thank you.

Arrival and Dismissal Arrival and Dismissal

*** Bikers must walk their bikes across crosswalks and on school property ***

According to Texas law crosswalks are for pedestrians and not cyclist. Therefore, students MUST walk their bicycles across all crosswalks.

We also ask that bike riders walk their bikes when on campus for safety of all.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Dismissal Issue

There is an issue on Quicksilver at the 3rd-5th grade car line exit. Vehicles are parking too close to the intersection which puts our Students and Crossing Guards in an unsafe environment.

When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.

I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.

Attendance

Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.

A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.

In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
