AH Family News
Arrowhead Elementary
Hello October!
Happy October! 🍁
The excitement of a new school year has settled into meaningful routines, friendships are growing, and our students are becoming more confident learners and leaders each day.
At Arrowhead, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation for strong learning. Our teachers are working intentionally to know each child, recognize their strengths, and provide the support and challenge they need to grow.
📚 Learning and Growing
As we move further into the school year, our focus remains on strong instruction in literacy and mathematics. Students are building important foundational skills, strengthening their problem-solving abilities, and learning how to explain their thinking.
Families can make a tremendous difference by asking questions about learning at home:
- “What did you learn today that surprised you?”
- “Tell me about something you are reading.”
- “What strategy did you use to solve that problem?”
- “What was challenging today, and how did you work through it?”
These simple conversations help children see that learning happens everywhere—not just at school.
Last month, we had fall conferences. We hope that all families scheduled an appointment to meet with their teacher to discuss your child's academic assessments and get to know their child's teacher and classroom goals for the year.
As we move into the heart of the fall season, here are a couple of reminders for some upcoming dates. See Upcoming Dates below for more information.

Arrowhead Resolution Process
At times, families have concerns, and we want to address all issues that may arise. Arrowhead staff are here to help. Please contact your child's teacher or the principals if you or your family need help with anything.
School staff cannot discuss 'the other' student's consequences because consequences are a part of a student's school records. Student's school records are only available to that particular student's family.
