Dear Alta Mesa Families,

I am excited for another great week at Alta Mesa. We had an amazing week last week that was capped off by 5th grade going up to Lassen National Park for a science field trip around Manzanita Lake. This week will be another great week. It is refreshing to see temperatures beginning to drop as we work our way toward October.

This week is our first K-5 cross country meet at Lassen View. Parents please make sure to gather all of the information from coaches on each grades start times etc. Our home cross country meet is next week on September 28th. As we get closer to October we will be hosting several events including Family Game night on September 29th, our first Family Movie Night or "Movies at the Mesa" on October 20th, and finally our Booster Club is hosting the annual Fall Carnival on October 28th. For our "Movies at the Mesa" evening we need some help picking which movie you'd like us to show! Please see the poll in the newsletter to vote!

The Riffle Raffle is our classroom teachers main fundraiser for the year. The ticket sales are facilitated by our Alta Mesa Parent Club. If you are interested in selling tickets, please sign the ticket request form that will go home with your student.

All proceeds go to the classroom teachers Parent Club account to be used for many things including field trips and the purchase of classroom materials.

Please remember to turn in sold Riffle Raffle tickets weekly.

ALL TICKETS (SOLD AND UNSOLD) ARE DUE BACK ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6TH.

As we settle into the new school year, remember that EVERY DAY MATTERS for our students! Academic lessons, social experiences, and habits that establish routines make EVERY DAY an opportunity for your child to learn and grow.

September is national Attendance Awareness Month, where we focus on a strong start with great attendance. We will be exploring the impacts attendance has on our students, so follow our district Facebook page (facebook.com/enterpriseesd) to join the conversation!

If getting to school is especially difficult for your family, please reach out! We want to be your ally to set your child up for success, because our schools are best when EVERY child thrives.

Please make sure students check in with their coaches by 2:45, races start promptly at 3:00.

• Please have students wear their Alta Mesa Cross Country shirts
• Have students bring water (it will be hot outside)
• Make sure students have proper running shoes on

Movie @ The Mesa is back! We are planning for Friday, October 20th at 6:30 PM. More information on this event will be provided soon. However, we are in need of your help! Help us decide which movie to premiere!
