Folsom Elementary
π Principal's Message
Folsom Families,
We hope all of our students and staff are having a wonderful Fall break and we are looking forward to having everyone back on Wednesday (October 14th)!
We have some great events coming up at Folsom, including our PTO sponsored Trunk or Treat on October 23rd! The event is at 5 pm and is always a favorite. On October 28th we have picture retakes and on October 29th we will have our second house parade and congratulate our October house winners!
As a quick reminder about arrival and dismissal, please make sure you are driving slowly on school property and also cell phone free. For parents of walker students, please remind your students to use crosswalks when walking to and from school and to not ride scooters, bikes, etc. on school property or in the middle of the street when arriving or dismissing from school. Thank you for your partnership and help in making sure all of our students and staff are safe each day.
Have a wonderful rest of your day and please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns,
Ashley Turner

Fall Family Survey
Here is our first family feedback survey of the year. It is important to us that you know that we care deeply about what we do and want to partner with you to make Folsom the very best possible school for our students to be at and for our staff to work at each day. We appreciate any thoughts you are able to share! Please know that this survey is anonymous, so if you or your student is needing support please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher(s) or to me at aeturner@prosper-isd.net.
Honor Choir Information from Mrs. Stephens
The PISD Music Department is proud to announce open auditions for the 380 Honor Choir. Here is some more information - 5th Grade students may audition for this choir with Mrs. Stephens and three Folsom students will be chosen. Here is the form to indicate your child's interest in auditioning for the choir. Mrs. Stephens will contact you via email to set up an audition and/or practice time. See your Skyward email for more detailed information from Mrs. Stephens.
Folsom Community Veterans
Each year at Folsom we have a Veteran's Day parade and small breakfast on Veteran's Day (November 11th). We also encourage our students and staff to wear red, white, and blue on that day. If you or another member of our student's family is a Veteran, we would love to invite you to be part of the parade and breakfast on November 11th. Please RSVP here if you are able to join us on that day and sign up here for a fast pass! Make sure to bring your driver's license.
Safety and Security Reminder
If you are attending a campus event or checking in to the building, anyone without a badge must enter through the main office on campus. This include outside events - all visitors must have a badge when attending an outdoor event (such as field day) on campus. Please also make sure that when you are checked into the building that your badge is visible for our staff to see at all times. Thank you for your support in helping keep our building safe and secure.
Here is a short Prosper ISD main office safety video!

Folsom Yearbook 2026-2027π»
5th Grade Parents: We are offering the opportunity to purchase a recognition ad for your child. Yearbook ads are a great way to celebrate student success and milestones and reflect on the person your student has become. Show your pride and support your school at the same time. Click HERE to create your recognition ad. Ads will be available for purchase until Friday, January 29th. This offer is available for 5th grade students only.
Folsom Features
Our students work really hard both inside and outside of school and we want to recognize our students as often as we can! If your student would like to be featured at one of our Folsom Friday Live assemblies this year for an outside of school achievement (such as participation in musical, athletic, leadership, or academic groups/teams/clubs), please email me at aeturner@prosper-isd.net. We can set up a date for your student to be featured at an assembly and he/she can join me on the stage to show pictures of their accomplishment and share what they have learned from the experience!

Volunteering Opportunities
- Calling all volunteers! Are you willing to get copies done for our hard working teachers? Sign up here if you are interested. Please reach out to Mrs. Fields in the front office if you have additional questions.
- All volunteers must have a completed background check. If you are interested in volunteering, you will need to submit an application for a background check each school year. We recommend getting this done now so you don't have to worry about it later in the year. To fill out a form, click here.
