The Fowler Weekly

Dear Fowler Family,

We continue to build out the agenda for our 8th grade career interest day on April 27th and will keep our community recruitment door open. If you are willing to spend a few hours on April 27th sharing information about your chosen career field, please let us know by filling out this interest form. I appreciate the parents who have already indicated interest. Also, if you have access to an industry or business that will allow students to tour or see an actual facility, that would be fantastic. Even an email or phone number of an owner or manager who may want to partner with us would be fantastic! (I will continue to add the interest link in our newsletter for the next few weeks)

The State of Oregon exclusion day for missing immunizations is this week. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 all student immunizations must be up to date, or they will be excluded from attending school until they are up to date. We have been working diligently to notify all families that this applies to. If you are unsure if this applies to you, please contact Teresa Weitz, tweitz@ttsd.k12.or.us.

Fowler offers several Affinity Groups for students to join. They can join at any time and there is no charge. Take a minute to read the descriptions here on our website and if your student would like to participate, complete the form, (Spanish form) at the bottom of the page and turn it in to the Main Office. All are welcome!

If your student comes home troubled by something that happens at school, we would like you to know that there are two reporting apps available to all students at all times. If there is a situation where someone is in immediate danger, they can use the Safe Oregon reporting app. This app is connected to our staff/emergency services 24/7. If there is a concern that needs to be reported but can wait until school hours to be addressed, students can use the Student Concern Report app on their iPad. These reports are monitored by our administrators.

Outdoor School Packets went home last Thursday. Fowler 6th graders are attending Outdoor School Tuesday, March 14 - Friday March 17. We understand that the paperwork we send home does not always make it there. This webpage has all of the pertinent information on it, along with links for any misplaced paperwork.

We are asking for permission slips and all pertinent paperwork to be turned in by February 14.

We do have an Informational Meeting for parents on Thursday, February 16 at 6pm in the Fowler Commons for those who might have questions and/or want more information. We will accept paperwork that evening, too.

The P$O Dining for Dollar$ is this week! Here is a link to the flyer if you would like to print it and take it in with you.

The next PSO Meeting is this Thursday, February 16, 6:30pm, in the library at Fowler. Please consider coming. All are welcome!
