The Musselwhite Memo

Happy Friday, AMS families! Thank you for another great week! Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Staff and students are encouraged to participate in the themes each day. In addition to dress up days each day, our students will participate in a lesson on Monday, October 28 focusing on healthy choices and the dangers of fentanyl and vaping.

We want you to be able to preview the videos before they are shown. The link to the videos are below. Thank you for partnering with us as we work to ensure all Bearcats make healthy lifelong decisions!

Bearcat of Character Bearcat of Character

We are proud to honor our Bearcat of Character for Open Mindedness, 6th Grader - Elliot Skinner. Elliott consistently shows open-mindedness in class discussions and activities. He is always willing to consider new ideas and perspectives, even when those ideas differ from his own. His ability to listen respectfully to his peers and thoughtfully reflect on different viewpoints greatly enhances classroom conversations. His openness to learning from others shows a mature and adaptable mindset, which will serve him well in future academic and personal challenges

Attendance Matters in Aledo ISD!

As a reminder, we have streamlined absence reporting for all of our campuses for this school year. It is very important that we have documented reasons for absences so that we can ensure your student is given an excused absence when needed.

Lunch Deliveries

In the event that you need to deliver lunch to your student, please follow the steps below:

  1. Please be sure that the lunch is clearly labeled with your student's first and last name.
  2. Upon entering AMS, please place your student's lunch in the bin assigned to your student's grade level lunch.
  3. The bins will be delivered at the start of each lunch period. Students will be responsible for getting their lunches from the bin.

Again, we request that you limit lunch deliveries when possible. Also, in order to limit distractions, we will not call students out of class to receive lunches.

Thank you for your help with this!
