Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Students viewed our Back-to-School slideshow on the first day of school, covering important information to help them start the year prepared and informed. The presentation includes our wireless communication policy, student handbook highlights, school safety information, and other important reminders. We encourage parents and guardians to review the slideshow linked above with their student to ensure everyone is familiar with these expectations and important resources for the 2026–2027 school year.

Make Your Voice Heard — Register to Vote
Voting is one of the most important ways we participate in our community and our democracy. As a school district, we believe in preparing students to be engaged, informed citizens, and we encourage every eligible member of our community to exercise that same civic responsibility.
The deadline to register to vote in Indiana for the November 3 General Election is October 5, 2026.
Whether you need to register, update your registration, or simply check your voter registration status, visit IndianaVoters.in.gov.
Be informed. Be engaged. Make your voice heard.

We’re off to a great start with our Wireless Communication Policy! During the first week of school, we recorded just 19 cell phone or headphone infractions across WHS. TalkingPoints-Family Communication
Westfield Washington Schools use a program called TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
