Thank you to all parents who were able to join us for conferences over the past two days.
Your time and partnership send a powerful message to your child about the importance of working together for their educational success.
A big thank-you also goes to our PTO for providing a very generous luncheon and breakfast for staff. Our teachers truly felt the appreciation for all of their hard work and enjoyed a delicious meal thanks to your kindness and support.
Although this week was short, it was certainly busy! On Wednesday, we welcomed the St. Charles Fire Department, who spoke to our primary students in grades K–2 about fire safety and gave them an exciting look at the fire engine. We also started the day as a community of walkers, celebrating the county-wide Walk and Roll to School Day.
Looking ahead, next week we’re excited for our PTO-sponsored Fall Fest and two grade-level field trips—both wonderful opportunities made possible through PTO support. Thank you again for all you do to make these experiences possible for our students!
Parent Education & Empowerment Series:
Guiding Students from Avoidance to Achievement
Join us for an engaging and practical three-part series designed to help parents navigate the growing challenges of anxiety and school avoidance. Led by Dr. Megan Schmitz of Vital Living Wellness Solutions, these sessions will give parents tools to:
Recognize anxiety in their child and understand its impact on learning and growth.
Learn strategies to balance empathy and compassion with boundaries and expectations.
Gain concrete tools to support positive school attendance and resilience.
Where: St. Charles North High School Auditorium
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Dates: October 8 • October 22 • November 12
This series is designed to strengthen the partnership between families and schools, offering tools and strategies that foster belonging, perseverance, and achievement. Together, we can create the support and consistency children need to thrive. Please note: An interpreter/translator will be available for families who need language support.

Veteran's Day
In November, we will take time to honor our veterans.
If you have a family member, friend, or loved one who has served in the military and you would like to recognize them, please print and complete the form below. You may include a picture, and we will proudly display these throughout our school to honor their service.
We will also hold an all-school Veterans Day assembly on Tuesday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m. Veterans are invited to attend and be honored during this special event.
Thank you for helping us celebrate and show appreciation for the brave men and women who have served our country.
Below I have included two letters from the district; please read them and let us know if you have any questions regarding our upcoming presentations related to Erin's law and/or the upcoming CogAT tests.
