THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

Welcome to the final week of school! As the final week of school unfolds, a wave of excitement is definitely in the air. We're close to summer break, and the anticipation of well-deserved rest and fun is near. However, let's remember that these last few days are crucial for finishing strong. We still have learning to do, projects to complete, and perhaps even a final catch up to accomplish. Let's channel that excitement into focused energy, supporting each other to cross the finish line successfully. Let's make this last week both memorable and productive!

✨Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)✨

Congratulations goes to our own Becky Schueth who has been named a State Finalist for this award!

This is the highest honors bestowed by the United States government specifically for K-12 science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teaching. Awards are given to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers who have both deep content knowledge of the subjects they teach and the ability to motivate and enable students to be successful in those areas.

Mrs. Schueth is currently teaching high school mathematics here at SRC. This is her 11th year at S-RC and I teach Geometry, Technical Math, College Algebra, PreCalculus and Calculus. Becky has 20 years of experience in teaching and she began her career at Columbus High School. Mrs. Schueth Bachelor’s (2005) and Master’s (2009) degrees are from Wayne State College. She enjoys sharing her excitement for math with her students each day!

When you see her, please make sure you congratulate her on this incredible achievement! We are all proud and rooting for you!

Message for the Week: Message for the Week:

    Message from Mr. Tejkl

    Where does it go...

    Good morning!

I wish you a great weekend and I hope you are having a tremendous one! Thank you to everyone who made last week a great one for us and for our students! The graduation commencements for PK and our Seniors went really well and that doesn't happen without the many moving parts prior to the big day to pull it off! You are appreciated! Also, thank you for the flexibility and support for our Fine Arts as we had two phenomenal performances from our Elementary and Secondary Choir/Band members! So many memories made BUT...we are not done yet! One last week to keep pushing our relationships, keeping our expectations high, and ending this year better than ever.

It's almost a cliché, isn't it? How quickly time seems to slip through our fingers. Just yesterday, it felt like the school year was going to keep going and going, and now here we are, on the brink of summer and just wrapped up graduating our seniors. Time flying by serves as a powerful reminder to truly be present in our lives. It's so easy to get caught up in planning for the future or dwelling on the past that we miss the beauty and significance of the here and now.

These final moments of the school year, the laughter in the hallways, the final discussions in classrooms, the shared sense of anticipation – these are momentary. Let's make a conscious effort to take it all in, to savor these experiences, big and small. Being grateful for what we have, for the opportunities we've been given, and for the connections we've made enriches our lives immeasurably. It shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance that surrounds us in each passing moment. Let's embrace this week with open hearts and appreciative minds. Also, thank those around you for being there, in big or small ways!

Have a great rest of your Sunday!

Quote of the week to reflect on:

""Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you."

    Sincerely,

    Tucker Tejkl
