Central Elementary Parent Updates
Mrs. Huff - Assistant Principal - Oct. 21, 2022
Hello Falcon Parent Leaders!
As we previously announced this past summer, Central Elementary School is a Science of Reading Spotlight School! This recognition came down from the state because of our status as 100% LETRS trained, as well as our academic growth. Principals from District 4 visited our school on Tuesday to to take away some of the amazing things our teachers are doing here at CES. Remember our teachers are teaching diligently every day to make sure all students gain the knowledge and skills to go to the next level. After visiting classrooms, principals were able to see a mini data meeting with our 1st grade team where teachers walked them through their data and strategies utilized with students. The team then debriefed on some of the great things that stood out to them.
The State Department of Education recently announced on last week that we are no longer a full support school! Thanks to our amazing teachers and the work they have put in every day! We are on the road to seeing our vision come true!
Our vision here at Central Elementary School is to be a premier, innovative institution where each and every child receives the highest quality education that prepares them for life and career success.
CES's mission is to create and foster a culture of high expectations and develop CHAMPION scholars.
Thank you for continuing to send your child(ren) to school on time each day. Our attendance rate for this week is 87.9% which is under our 95% goal. Many students are out sick, but please send an excuse when they return to school. Attendance in school is crucial in every child's education, so let's make every day count! We need them here everyday in order to reach our annual academic goals.
