How Conferences Work

• Conferences are held in-person and virtually via Google Meet. You do not need a Gmail account to join the meeting.

• Each conference will be five (5) minutes ONLY.

• Students are encouraged to attend conferences with their families, but their attendance is not required.

Please note the schedule for that week:

• Tuesday, October 7th– VIRTUAL conferences

• Wednesday, October 8th- In Person conferences

• Friday, October 10, Monday Oct 13– No School

If you experience technical difficulties during your virtual conference, or while attempting to access the conference, please keep in mind that teachers are scheduled back-to-back and will be unable to respond to emails instantly.

We ask that you allow the teacher two business days to reply to your message. If the full conference is missed due to technical issues, the teacher will work with you to arrange a brief 5-minute follow-up window to discuss your scholar's progress, at your request.

Reminder- if you do not have a gmail account you MUST download the Google Meets app or you will not be able to access the virtual conference.

Each conference is strictly limited to five (5) minutes from start to finish.

Our teachers are scheduled with appointments back-to-back, with zero downtime in between conferences. As a courtesy to all families waiting, teachers must start the next scheduled appointment promptly. If you join the meeting late, please understand that the teacher will need to end the meeting at the originally scheduled time to move on.

If you have follow-up questions or concerns that require more than five minutes, please email the teacher directly after your conference time. They will follow up with you within 2 business days to schedule a separate time for a more in-depth discussion.
