WMS Summer Newsletter
7/29/2024
Dear Walpole Middle School Families,
I hope this message finds you enjoying a wonderful summer! As we reach the end of July, I wanted to provide an update on the building progress and our preparations for the upcoming school year. I am thrilled to share that our new building is on schedule and looking outstanding. The construction team has done a fantastic job, and we can’t wait for you to see the beautiful, state-of -the-art facility! Our team has been hard at work ensuring a smooth and exciting opening of our new middle school. A significant amount of planning is currently underway. We are finalizing team placements, student schedules, and homeroom assignments to create a supportive and engaging environment for all our students. Additionally, we are organizing student tours of the new building. We believe this will help ease the transition and build excitement for the year ahead. You will find specific details and timeline below. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we finalize these important details.
Best,
Carrie Ruggiero
Principal
Teams, Schedules, and Homerooms
WMS team assignments, class schedules and homeroom placements will be posted in the Aspen X2 system on Friday, August 9th. Please note, that the scheduling process will continue to be fluid through the start of school and some student schedules may be updated. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Student Tour and Social Schedule
On August 9, we will release student team assignments. These assignments will determine the specific tour each student will participate in, allowing them to explore the new facility and enjoy a snack with their peers. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with their new environment and build connections within their team. If your child is unable to attend their designated tour, please do not worry. We will ensure all students are acclimated to the building on the first day of school. We are excited to welcome our students to the new building!
