It's mid-quarter time! Please take a moment to check your student’s PowerSchool account for current grades and assignments. Staying informed helps students stay on track and gives families an opportunity to provide support when needed.

Quarter 1 ends on Friday, October 9 - grades are captured and eligibility determined for Q2 activities.

Let's feed our teachers and staff during Parent Teacher Conferences!

Help us stock a chili and soup buffet to keep teachers warm and cozy during a long day of conferences. We're asking for crockpots of your favorite soup and chili recipes to be delivered to the school. Along with sides and desserts of course.

Note that there will be up to 140 staff members on site that day so we ask that you please provide 20-30 servings for each slot you sign up for.

Our next Bison Fan Day will be on Wednesday, October 7th for the ETMS Girls Volleyball game.

This is a fun activity where students get to cheer on the ETMS Girls Volleyball Team. Any 6th-8th grade student may sign up.

Parents,

Please fill out the permission form below if your student plans to attend. Students will NOT be able to stay after school if parents have not filled out the form prior to 11:00am on October 7th. However, if we reach capacity number of participants, the form will not accept any more students to sign up.

***Please note, if you are actively participating in another Fall sport or Activity (ex: XC, Football, Musical) that practices after school on 9/30, please do NOT sign up for Bison Fan Day. The expectation is that you fulfill your commitment to your athletic or activity practice. You may NOT join the Bison Fan day after your practice. If you want to attend the Girls Volleyball game after your practice, same expectations are followed to be with an adult for the event.

Ways to get involved! We want every BISON to love being a part of our school!

Each month, a new book will be featured as the ETMS Book of the Month. Students who want to participate may stop by the library to sign up and grab a copy. Everyone who reads the book will be invited to Discussion with Donuts (gluten-free options available) hosted by Mrs. Brown and school staff. Already read the book? Students just need to swing by the library to get their name on the list.

6th grade students in Industrial Tech are putting their skills to work as they design and build their own key holder projects.

Students learning, creating, collaborating, and having fun in class. We love seeing our students in action and making the most of every school day!

LSR7 middle and high school students can request up to $1,000 for a student-driven project that enhances learning at their school. We hope this is a great learning experience/exercise for students that will benefit them AND their schools/activity groups.

Deadline: December 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Grant recipients will be announced in mid-January, with funds available for use immediately.

Friendly reminder, students who are needing to come in on Fridays to utilize the Testing Center for a makeup test or a test retake may arrive at school starting at 8:05 AM.

Do you need Math Homework Help? You are welcome to stay after school any Thursday starting September 10th.

Race for the Future will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at the Lee's Summit West Activity Complex.
