Admin Corner
As we move through November, we want to take a moment to celebrate growth, gratitude, and connection within our Charette community. Every day, our students remind us that success begins with small steps — showing up, setting goals, and supporting one another. Let’s keep that momentum going as we head into an exciting month full of opportunity and celebration!
📬 We missed you last week!
Although we weren’t able to send a newsletter, we’re back and excited to reconnect with you this week. Thank you for your continued support and engagement — it truly keeps our community strong.

Peek At The Week!
🎨 Art: “Feast for the Eyes” Project
In Art class, students dove into a new and exciting project titled “Feast for the Eyes.” As we enter a season filled with family gatherings, holiday traditions, and food-centered celebrations, students will be designing and creating visual renderings of food.
From appetizers to desserts, this project encourages creativity, cultural connection, and artistic expression — all inspired by the flavors and dishes that bring people together.
🏛 Wellness at City Hall
This week in 10th grade was filled with curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning across our classrooms! Our 10th grade Wellness students took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Providence City Hall. Students explored historic Rhode Island artifacts, asked thoughtful questions, and discovered new details about the city they call home. The trip sparked pride, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of our local community.
📚 History: Life in the Trenches
In Mr. O’Neill’s History class, students engaged in an insightful lesson on World War II trench warfare. Through interactive learning and discussion, students developed a deeper understanding of the conditions, challenges, and experiences of soldiers during this period. The lesson encouraged students to think critically about history and its impact on the world we live in today.
9th Grade Spotlight: Peek at the Week 📸
Our 9th graders kicked off their new Photojournalism unit by building their very own shoebox camera obscuras! Students experimented with light, shadows, and perspective to see how early cameras worked—then had fun testing them out around the building.
Junior Highlight: Peek at the Week 🎓
Our Juniors spent an exciting day touring Johnson & Wales University! They learned all about JWU’s academic programs, explored campus life, and even enjoyed lunch right on campus. The best part? They were soooo happy—smiling, bonding, and getting inspired about their future college journeys.
A big step toward what’s next for our Class of 2027!
Senior Portraits Went Great!
Senior Portrait Day: A Fun & Memorable Moment for the Class of 2025!
Senior Portrait Day was such a fun and joy-filled experience for our Class of 2026! Students showed up with big smiles, sharp outfits, and all the excitement that comes with capturing this milestone moment.
We even had a very special surprise guest stop by — Dr. Vespia, who came back to visit and cheer on our seniors as they posed for their photos. Her familiar presence brought warmth and nostalgia to the day, reminding us how strong and lasting our Charette community truly is.
We can’t wait to share the portraits — photos are being posted soon! Stay tuned for a sneak peek of all the amazing moments we captured.
You’ll receive a letter if your child is selected for an award!
