Greetings Heartland Families!
We had another great week last week! We first started the week off with our annual literacy night/trick or treat and book fair. Thank you for coming out to support our students and our school. The night was a HUGE success.
A few grade levels went on field trips last week and had a great time. Please remember, in order to go on a field trip you must be an approved volunteer and have the background check cleared through our district.
This Friday all classes with participate in our Fall parties. Please remember, for health and safety reasons, ALL food brought in must be store bought, it can not be homemade. Please check with your child's teachers for any student allergies as well.
Guidelines regarding field trips, dress code, parties, etc can be found in our handbook. The link for our handbook and all the important information is linked at the bottom of this newsletter. If you would like a hard copy, please let me know and I can send one home with your student.
We have officially switched over to our visitor and safety platform called RAPTOR. Due to the switch, we have to scan all visitors in the new system. Please make sure that when you visit our school you have your ID ready to present each time. It is law that any visitor that visits a school must present a a valid ID upon entering.
It is hard to believe that we are in the last week of October. The holidays are quickly approaching. Our first family feast will be coming up in November. We will send home information about that next week.
In closing, don't forget we DON'T have school next Monday, November 3. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys their 3 day weekend.
