Nash Elementary Community Service Project Nash Elementary Community Service Project

On Wednesday May, 3rd students at Nash Elementary School presented blanket donations to the Dialysis Unit at South Shore Hospital in memory of Mrs. DelRosso, mother of 2nd Grade teacher Miss DelRosso. Mrs. DelRosso volunteered at the Nash school for 10 years. Every week she came in all day and played games, read with Ms. DelRosso's second graders. They called it “Thursday’s with Mrs. DelRosso.” She loved them as much as they loved her.

Clothing Drive - Saturday, May 6 - Abigail Adams Middle School Cafeteria Clothing Drive - Saturday, May 6 - Abigail Adams Middle School Cafeteria

The Weymouth Clothing Giveaway is a bi-annual event that typically occurs in the fall and in the spring. All clothing is donated over the course of the week leading up to the event by the community and encompassess adult and children options as well as shoes and accessories. Donations are sorted and organized by community volunteers and WHS student volunteers to ensure that selection of clothing is seamless and fun. This event was started by a small group of community members and residents with the goal of providing the opportunity for donations to directly support local needs. It exemplifies the strong community pride that characterizes Weymouth and is a staple function in the Weymouth community calendar. Everyone is welcome to attend the event on Saturday and take as much clothing, shoes, and accessories as they would like for FREE.
