With the hep from our staff, students and community, our 8th annual SMS Gives Back was a huge success on Friday. Students shopped and wrapped gifts for families, collected warm clothing items for the winter, created weekend bags for families and much more. Along with giving and donating, our students and staff and volunteers celebrated with one another throughout the day. Thank you to all that made this day so wonderful and memorable!

We are so proud of our SMS Chamber Strings and Jazz Band ensembles members for their recent performance in Columbus, Ohio! The students were invited to showcase the significance of music education and the SMS program in view of Ohio’s legislative leaders. Both groups represented themselves, their ensembles, the music program, and Strongsville City School District in a very positive and professional manner. Way to go!

Charvi participated in ‘Miss Bharat Ohio 2023’ beauty pageant in TEEN category organized by MyDreamTVUSA and Apex Entertainment in Columbus OH.Charvi Won 2 prestigious titles - ‘ Miss Bharat Ohio Teen Worldwide winner’ and ‘Miss Bharat Ohio Teen 2nd Runner Up’. Congratulations!

Luke Huber (8th grade)- SHS Student of the Month- Luke takes advanced math classes at the high school and is showing great success and was recognized for his hard work and academics. Way to go, Luke!

SMS teachers are in the process of recommending students to take the Iowa Algebra Aptitude test to determine the best middle school math placement for students and assess readiness for the rigors of an Honors math class. However, parents do have the option to request that their student take this test as well.

If your student is not currently in an honors or advanced 6th or 7th grade math class and you wish for your student to be considered for an accelerated math course, please fill in the form below.

Students who are entered into this form will be given the opportunity to test to see if they are able to be considered for this path. The test will be administered mid-January. Please finalize your request by January 4, 2024. Thank you.
