Against Millville, Piantadosi was joined by junior captain Aniyah Parker and sophomore Brielle VonColln who scored twice to defeat the Thunderbolts. VonColln recorded the fastest goal in program history with a goal 35 seconds into the game! The girls finish their CAL American competition in second place and earned a bid into the CAL Tournament! They will host the Mainland Mustangs on Friday the 13th and look to beat them for a third time this season. Additionally, Monday's victory was Coach Christian Wiech's 100th career win as the varsity coach of the girls' soccer program!

BOYS SOCCER

On Monday the boys soccer team traveled to the Blueberry Capital of the World to take on the Blue Devils of Hammonton. In a much anticipated rematch, the Eagles soared to a dominating victory with a 4 nil shutout. The Blue Devils were seeking an invite to the CAL playoffs with a victory, but the Eagles had other plans. Senior Matthew Sanchez had the game winner early in the first half. Senior Ryan Evenson netted his second hat trick of the season with three highlight reel goals. Junior Giancarlo Saparito made four impressive saves for the shoutout.

On Wednesday the boys soccer team hit the road again, this time headed to Millville, home of Mike Trout. This would prove to be showdown among Division rivals with power points and playoff indications on the line. Once again, the Eagles scored first and never looked back. Senior

Matthew Sanchez was responsible for the first goal and the Eagles defense along with goalie Giancarlo Saparito played stellar to record their second straight shutout.

With two huge wins on the road the Eagles punched their ticket to their third straight CAL playoff game. The Eagles are seeded #5 in the CAL playoff and will travel to #4 Ocean City on Saturday @ 10am. The Eagles hope to continue to be road warriors and advance with a first round victory.

GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

EHT Girls' Volleyball beat CAL adversary Absegami on Thursday afternoon. Led by an impressive performance by junior Journey Green, the Eagles avenged a heart breaking loss earlier in the season against Absegami. Journey Green (outside hitter) led the team with 5 kills and Ashley Ramirez (defensive and serving specialist) showed up with an impressive 4 aces. Opposite hitter Sofia Spatocco added 5 kills to the ledger. The win puts the Eagles in possible contention for the CAL tournament and moves the Eagles' to 7-10 on the season, after losing to rival Mainland earlier in the week.
