Beckwith Bulletin

October 23, 2026
BMS Community,
This week started off with our 5th Grade Bash, which was a great time for our students! On Tuesday, we had Picture Day, and on Wednesday, we celebrated Unity Day by wearing orange to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
On Thursday, student and staff representatives from DRRHS visited Beckwith to share all the great opportunities and offerings available to our 7th and 8th grade students. They also reminded everyone that Green and Gold Night will be held at the high school on Thursday, October 29th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (See below for more information!)
We wrapped up the week with our Pink Out Spirit Day, wearing pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to support the Linda Sousa A Better Dream Foundation.
Finally, a contingent from our district attended the State Special Olympics Conference, where DRRSD was recognized as a Unified Champion District, joining Beckwith in earning this important recognition as a Unified Champion School (Beckwith is also a National Banner Unified School)! We are proud to be part of a district that continues to promote inclusion, acceptance, and belonging for all students.

HALLOWEEN SPIRIT DAY
We are excited to celebrate Halloween Spirit Day on October 30th! Students are invited to dress up and show off their creativity and school spirit.
To ensure a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all students and staff, please follow these costume guidelines:
Optional Participation: Costumes are completely optional. Students who prefer not to wear a costume are welcome to join in by wearing Halloween colors (orange, black, or purple) or regular school attire.
No Masks: Full-face masks or coverings are strictly prohibited during the school day so that all students remain easily recognizable.
No Weapons or Props: Toy weapons, swords, guns, or prop look-alikes are not allowed on school grounds.
Makeup: Face makeup must be applied at home before arriving at school. No makeup products or paint should be brought to school for application or touch-ups during the day.
