Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
March 8, 2026
Dear BES Families,
It is really hard to believe we are ending the third quarter this week! This quarter just flew by and I know fourth quarter will as well.
5th grade field trip is tomorrow - don't forget your disposable lunch!
We will NOT have Power Hour this week. We will get started back up the week of March 30th.
Parents - we could use some help with a few things. Backpacks have gotten pretty loaded up with keychains and items that hang off of them. They are fun and cute, but we have had them get caught in the bus railings and causing injury to our students. We've also had students swing their backpack onto their back and the keychains hit others who are standing behind them. Another issue we are having are the water bottles. We have asked they all are able to close securely as we are having them spill in backpacks, on the floors, etc. They are also not coming home to be cleaned regularly despite reminders, and we've noticed mold in the bottles. While having a water bottle has become second nature to us, students are always allowed to visit our water fountains and are not a necessity unless there is a medical condition requiring hydration. If you could talk to your students and ensure they are needed and able to be securely closed (no open straws) that would be very helpful!
Please remember, we do not have school this Friday, March 13th.
Have a great week,
Cindy Apple, Principal

Attendance and School Calendar
Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.
Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!
If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.
GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
