Dear Duval Families!
Happy Official Start to Fall!
We are officially settled into the school year! We have seen great relationships formed between peers, and the core academic learning has truly begun. We are enjoying visiting classrooms and seeing the excitement of students as they learn new content!
This week is Picture Day on Tuesday. Students will take both individual and class pictures. See information below for the code and how to purchase pictures online.
This week is also "Go Gold Week." We will be collecting donations towards research to cure Childhood Cancer. Students can bring in money throughout the week and place it in our Golden Boot. On Friday, we encourage students and staff to wear yellow or gold to end the week.

Online ordering is available before and after Picture Day. Shipping and handling charges may apply to orders placed after Picture Day.
Safety and Traffic Notes
Do NOT park on Regal Street. Police will begin moving cars soon.
Children designated as WALKERS go out Door 24. An adult MUST be there for all K kids.
Parent Pick Up- Yellow placards are now a MUST. We may ask for licenses if you don't have one, especially if Dr. Marcus is not there to recognize the "regulars."
Non-YMCA students MAY NOT go on the playground before 8:55am or return to the playground until 3:30pm.

PTO NEWS!
Hello Duval Families!
Our Heidi’s Hollow partnership was an amazing success! It was so nice to see so many Duval families and staff members come out for some ice cream on such a nice day. A huge thank you to our VIP scoopers- Dr. Marcus and Ms. Craig as well. We are excited to announce we raised $350 for Duval! As part of our fundraising plan for this school year we are planning to partner with a local business each month. Our October partnership will be with Napoli Pizza- stay tuned for more details!
This week Duval, along with the other schools in the district, will be participating in Go Gold Week to raise funds for childhood cancer. Students can bring in spare change to fill the gold boot, get a gold bracelet and on Friday (9/26) we will have Go Gold Day where we encourage everyone to wear gold or yellow to support this cause!
