News Fromthe RanchMarch 8, 2026, Vol. 1, Issue 29

Dear TRE Family,

What a fun week on the ranch! We celebrated National School Breakfast Week in our Food Services Cafe with art projects, gold crowns, and special visitors. We celebrated Read Across America Week with a dress-up day, our amazing Book Fair in the library all week, and a fun Family Reading Night on Monday evening. It was a great week celebrating a love of reading! Thank you to every parent volunteer who helped make our Book Fair a success. It took a village this week, and we are thankful for each and every volunteer!

Throughout the week, we welcomed Doodle Bugs for on-campus class field trips to explore all the different types of bugs and reptiles. The joy and awe on students' faces were priceless! So much learning and excitement in the room. We continue with a few more classes, engaging in this on-campus field trip next week. Thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring this engaging on-campus field trip!

This week is Conference Week and early dismissal EVERY day for K-5 students. TK will have the usual bell schedule this week. We look forward to meeting with families in support of our Cool Coyotes.

LCAP LCAP

Dear TUSD Families,

At Tustin Unified, we value your voice! Your input is essential as we set goals and actions for the 2026-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) guides how California distributes state funding to school districts, ensuring resources support both core and supplemental programs. The LCAP serves as a vital tool for transparency and community engagement in this process. You can explore the current Board Approved 2025-26 LCAP on our district website.

As we plan for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help shape district priorities and guide updates to our LCAP. Please take a few moments to complete the 2026-27 LCAP Survey and share what matters most in your child’s education. The LCAP Survey was sent via Parent Square to all families.

We encourage all families to participate by April 11, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact the Educational Services Department.

With appreciation,
Stephanie Yang, Ed.D.
Director of Educational Services
Tustin Unified School District
