Dear PK8 Families,

We had a great start to quarter 2! Everyone is working hard to grow academically and as the wonderful people they are.

Halloween:

• K-5 will have parties on October 30 in the afternoon. Their teacher will or has communicated specific times. Full costumes are allowed only during the party. However, no face make-up, weapons, bloody items, or inflatables are allowed. If you have any questions or concerns about the costume, please contact Dr. Savory or Mr. Burns for clarifications.
• 6-8 will have a dance Friday 3:45-6:00 pm (snack and clean up are included in this time)
• If students would like to bring a guest to the dance, please get a guest form from the office.
• This is a new quarter, but you must still meet the eligibility requirements to attend the dance.
• Students will participate in dance lessons during their specials classes in preparation for the upcoming school dance. This is a long-standing tradition that helps students feel more confident, comfortable, and prepared to participate. We focus on learning the steps, practicing together, and having fun.

Student Pick-Up and Drop-Off Safety Reminder

Please remember the following expectations:

• Drive slowly and follow posted signs.

• Bus lanes are for buses only before 8:30 a.m. and after 2:30 p.m.

• Use designated pick-up areas only.

• Please use the cross walk or with Dr. Savory. Do not just walk across between all the cars.

Keeping students safe is a shared responsibility. Thank you for following these expectations and helping us maintain a safe environment for all students, families, and staff..
