Help Us Keep Our School Community Healthy
As we move through the school year, the health and safety of our students, staff, and community remain our top priority. To ensure that our school environment remains safe and healthy for everyone, we kindly ask for your cooperation in the following:
Please keep your child at home if they are experiencing any symptoms of contagious illnesses such as strep throat, COVID-19, the flu, or similar ailments. Common symptoms to watch out for include, but are not limited to:
- Fever
- Sore throat
- Persistent cough
- Shortness of breath
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Fatigue or muscle aches
- Headache
- Loss of taste or smell
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
By keeping your child home when they are feeling unwell, you are playing an important role in preventing the spread of illnesses and protecting the health of other students and staff members.
Attendance Matters
While it's important to keep sick children at home when they are unwell, we also want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance when your child is healthy. Consistent attendance is critical for your child's academic success. Each day builds on the next, and frequent absences can make it challenging for students to keep up with classwork, remain engaged in learning, and develop the social skills that are so important during these formative years.
We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching learning environment for all students and we believe that with your help, we can balance the need for safety with the importance of attendance. If your student will be absent, please communicate with our Attendance Office and your child's teachers.
Ms. Northern, our school nurse, is available to answer any questions you may have from 7:30-3:00 during the school week. She can be reached at Ext: 1797 or by emailing knorthern@pths209.org

❗Seniors: FAFSA or Alternative Application Required For Graduation❗
Seniors, this is an important reminder that completing the FAFSA or Alternative Application is a graduation requirement!
If your senior hasn't completed the FAFSA or Alternative Application, now is the time! This is a graduation requirement, and we want to ensure every student stays on track. Beyond meeting this requirement, completing the application can unlock grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and low-interest loans to help pay for college, trade schools, and career training programs. Even if your student isn't sure about their next steps, filling out the FAFSA keeps options open for the future.
The process only takes about 30 minutes, and we're here to help! If you need assistance, please get in touch with Mr. Korntheuer using the contact info below. Don't leave FREE MONEY on the table!
Complete the FAFSA or Alternative Application today!
