I miss all of you! I miss seeing the students everyday. This adjustment has been hard - I hope you are all doing okay. I do want to say thank you to all of you, and to our teachers and our staff. Everyone has jumped into this school closure with a willingness to do what is best for our Tower Rockers. Thank you for that.
We now know school will be closed until May 1. With that in mind, the teachers are creating essential learnings for reading, writing, and math for the next four weeks. We are not intending to change much within the google classroom, other than the teachers are going to try and push slowly forward with getting new content to students, not just maintaining current skills.
Please know that the most important thing right now is you and your family's physical and emotional well-being. Our Tower Rockers are young and have years of school ahead of them to complete a lot of school work. Do we want them to do all of the school work? Of course! However, health and well-being should always be the first priority. Please take good care and reach out with any concerns you may have.
Summer School - REGISTRATION IS TODAY, MONDAY, APRIL 6 at 6pm
Dear Sauk Prairie Families;
- Thank you for your patience as we work through these trying times. Although our current school is being offered “at-home” we continue to prepare for a summer of classes for your children to enjoy. We have had to make some changes:
- We have cancelled our Open Lab on April 6, but we will have staff available by phone to assist on April 6 from 6-7:30pm. You may call 643-5680. After this time, you may email summer.school@saukprairieschools.org.
- Fees for classes will not show in your Skyward portal at the time of registration. The District will reach out about payment once the state-mandated school closure is finished and it is clear summer school will continue as scheduled.
- Our summer catalog should be arriving in your mailbox soon. If you are anxious and would like to see what classes we have this year, you can find this year’s catalog on our webpage, www.saukprairieschools.org/summerschool.
- Please go to www.saukprairieschools.org/summerschool for more information and changes made to classes.
Summer School enrollment/registration is a 3 step process completed online.
The first step opens March 30 - This is a required step to verify for us that the information we have in Skyward is correct. It includes custom forms for before school and dismissal plans. This is also the place to complete a custom form to request a rural bus to or from school. This step can be completed anytime during the registration period of March 30 - April 29, but it must be completed be each family.
Here's a Tip:
This first step is a great way to test your login/password, and you will be able to see the classes in the Arena Scheduling tab, but will not be able to add them to their schedule until it opens on April 6 at 6:00 pm. It is a great way to play in the Arena Scheduler to learn how to use it and to find the quickest way to find the classes you are looking for.
Another tip - If your first household has 2 custodial guardians, each will receive a login and password. That means if you have multiple children to enroll, each guardian can log in and work to enroll a child to get to those classes faster for each child.
Referendum Information
A referendum to fund the expansion and renovation of Sauk Prairie High School, expand Merrimac Community Charter School, build a community aquatics complex, and improve the outdoor pool is on the April 7th ballot. Check out www.saukprairieschools.org for more referendum information. Be sure to vote!
