Attendance Update
Well done to the 409 children who have had 100% attendance this week.
This week's school attendance is: 97% - this is the highest we have had in a while. Well done all!
This year's attendance to date is 95.4%.
Early Years/ KS1 classes of the week is 1W with 99% attendance.
KS2 class of the week is 6LG with a fantastic 99.7% attendance!
Below are some recent attendance winners.
Year 1 trip to Harwood House
Year 1 had a fantastic visit to Harewood House! The children enjoyed learning about history, exploring the beautiful surroundings, and making lots of wonderful memories. The children definitely managed to tire the adults out - we're not quite sure who had more fun!
Year 3 School Linking
Today Year 3 took part in one of their school linking days. One class was visited by Dixons Marchbank Primary School and the other class visited their Primary School. The School Linking project is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to meet pupils from a different part of Bradford. They had a wonderful day of Forest School activities.
Tennis trip
At the end of last week a group of pupils went to Ilkley to receive some tennis coaching. It definitely wasn't 'tennis weather' but the pupils had lots of fun.
School Staff Fundraising
Tomorrow is the day! Staff from Low Ash will be taking part in their second fundraising challenge of the year - the UK's biggest 5K inflatable challenge. If anyone would like to support us, please click on the link below to donate. So far, we have raised just over half of our £1000 target.
Following this event, look out for further information about an event for pupils during Sports/Healthy Schools Week.
Money raised will be going towards a 'Scrap Shed' to enhance our outdoor play provision even further.

Art and DT
As you probably know, most year groups took part in their half term's art or DT teaching last week as we choose to teach the subject as a block rather than weekly. Lots of fantastic work was produced but a special highlight was the Year 5 William Morris style relief printing. I'm sure you agree it looks very effective.
Sporting Update
Last week may have been a relatively quiet one in the sporting calendar, but not this week!
Our under 11 cricket team competed in the West Yorkshire cricket finals. They did amazingly, scoring lots of runs, hitting lots of 6s and bowling lots of wickets. Then we had our under 11s football team competing in a 5vs5 at Marley stadium. The boys did a brilliant job, not losing a game in the group stage, winning a penalty shoot out in the semi final, but just coming up short in the final.
Well done also to the under 11s Girls football team, who took part in the 5vs5 Marley Tournament too They came joint second in the group stages, but unfortunately 'missed out' on goal difference.
Below, our Year 6 tennis players are also pictured. They won the tennis tournament run by The Sport Legacy Foundation which has run in school over the last 6 months targeting pupils in Y3,4 and 6. The sessions were delivered by a professional coach working on skills to improve their tennis ability.
Finally, a huge congratulations to Low Ash primary’s under 11s football team.
They took part in the World Cup tournament at Goals Bradford, finishing top of their group and qualifying for the finals. A special mention to the two year 4 boys in the squad who played brilliantly against players from two years above them.
It’s amazing that we can offer so many opportunities to children, having lots of fun and creating primary school memories.
We would also like to thank all the parents that helped with transport today. It's greatly appreciated.
Online Safety Update - Online Safety Ban
As you will probably be aware, the Government has announced a package of online safety measures that go well beyond a social media ban. The website linked below outlines what we know, what’s still to be confirmed and what families can do in the meantime. This website is regularly updated so it well worth visiting frequently for updates.
A reminder that all of our guides can be found on the online safety page of the website.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend (enjoy the football for those who watch it) and we will see you on Monday. Who knows, we might even get some good weather this weekend.
