Greetings WE families,

We are starting to see a glimpse of Fall weather coming our way. I think we are in the layers season. Crisp cool mornings and then sunny, warm afternoons. That usually means layers of clothes. Be sure to label your children's sweaters and jackets. They tend to land in Lost and Found this time of year.

October is proving to be another busy month. We are rounding out the first nine weeks of school. Teachers are preparing progress reports and conference materials. The students are always amazing. It was a fun Book Character day this week. I want to clarify that we had our dress-up day early this year; we will not have a dress-up/costume day at the end of the month. Students can enjoy that in their neighborhoods.

We look forward to seeing you during the last two weeks of this month for your Parent/Teacher conference. Be sure to sign up for your time with your child's teacher.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for these upcoming Westchester events:

  • October 12th: Teacher Workday/Student Holiday

  • October 13th: School Board Meeting

  • October 14th-20th: Bookfair

  • October 15th: Progress Reports in Infinite Campus

  • October 17th: PTA Fall Fest

  • October 19th- 30th: Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • October 22nd: Wheelhouse Dine-out

  • October 28th: 12:50 Early Release; Parent/Teacher Conferences

From your very grateful principal,

Christine Knox
