The News
We had a great first day of school on Friday and got our orientation meetings out of the way. This week we will settle into our first full week of school. Most schedule kinks have been worked out. Many class sizes are larger than normal because of the loss of teacher units. This is a challenge for our staff and our students but we will find a way to power through it and make it work!
Tuesday at 6pm we will host our annual Senior/Parent Meeting. We will discuss all things senior year with our seniors and parents of our seniors. Our goal every year is to provide as much information and transparency as possible for those involved. We will answer as many questions as possible. We ask that each senior have a parent/guardian represented because we will not have an opportunity to do a meeting like this again. And, we can't answer questions throughout the year on the same topics over and over.
Thursday, we will have our annual Meet The Bobcats. There have been some changes. We will move the time to 6pm and the location to the gym. All sports at all levels will be represented as well. We will discuss new information regarding eligibility and other details from the AHSAA. If is very important that each athlete and a parent is in attendance if your child expects to participate in athletics this year.
Friday, our football team will host Cordova in a preseason football game. The varsity will play one half and the junior varsity will play one half. Admission will be $10 for all home games this year. Tickets may be purchased with cash or on GoFan. Concession will be open on both sides of the stadium.
As many of you know, our new field house in under construction in the eastern endzone. The walkway in the endzone that connects the home and visitor side will be open. However, no one will be allowed to stand along the fence line in the endzone so traffic is not impeded. There will only be a narrow space. For safety reason, no one will be allowed in or around the construction area or the practice field. Parents, make sure children stay in the stands with you and away from the construction area to avoid damage or injury. Unsupervised children will be sent to their parents in the stands. Again, for safety of all guests, students and children may not loiter in or around bathrooms or concession stand. or the area behind the home stand.
Have A Great Week!

P.S. Parents please review the schoolwide classroom rules with your students. These are the minimum behavioral requirements we expect every student at PCHS. The school and teachers may add to these but this the basics.
